It doesn't matter what an NBA player says. They aren't getting paid to evaluate talent.

Being able to impact the game on both ends of the floor is a PLUS in my opinion.

Yes, scoring is the most important ISOLATED skill for sure, I have never denied that.

But if I am looking at an entire player, I look at both sides of the ball not just one.
I hear ya Champ

KP is ruled out. Dallas will have to play damn near perfect next game. I doubt Pandemic George will play as bad again but I don’t think Lou will dish out another 30+ like he did

I was apprehensive about the restart, for the 2 obvious reasons: fear of someone catching COVID in the bubble, and quieting the growing noise on Black oppression and inequality.

With thoughts of KAT's mom in my mind, and w/ the Lakers coming off a huge win, I'm with anyone boycotting. We didn't know the COVID precautions would literally be (so far) ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT successful in the bubble, but the distraction angle is definitely real. People knew about George Floyd, because there were no sports to talk about. People learned about Philando Castile, because there were no sports to talk about. So many names, so many people learned about, because there was no distraction. People knew about the riots and protests, because there was literally nothing else for the news to talk about. Now sports have returned, and people don't even know there are still protests going on. And of course, people don't even know about Jacob Blake, and that JUST happened. If there were no bubble and sports hadn't returned but Jacob Blake were still shot, I think it would be ALL people talk about right now. Instead, there are tons of people who don't even know.

I'm with cancelling the season. For what? Pressure, I guess. Make THAT all people talk about again.

what's premature though? This is year 2. He would be the #1 overall pick.

I don't think there's anything pre-mature about saying anything about Luka, with the exception of he's the best pg of all time, he's top 10 of all time, etc.

I think most GM's would agree they would want their #1 pick to be the guy who also happens to have the ball most of the time.
Premature to say I would take him over Giannis because right now, Giannis is still a better player than Luka. And Giannis is an unbelievable player who we are only holding some playoff failures against, Luka has yet to contend with the weight of those expectations so let’s see what happens.

I mean James Harden is today also a better player than Luka but we are saying we’d rather have Luka because we have a long record of playoff failures vs expectations for Harden.

I’m just saying be patient and don’t make that statement after his best game ever, make it after he’s had some bad stretches and we see how he responds
