Bro with the amount of skins these guys used to getting on the daily....

its worse than prison.
I know that this was a humorous take, but there are issues that are troubling through this observation. These men are not animals, and I am certain that they can control themselves. The take that they can't control themselves, in a league dominated by Black men, is the reason why such a comment is oft putting.

Not opposed to players walking out.

Wish more players would actively participate like LeBron in encouraging and facilitating voter turnout.

EVERY SINGLE MAJOR PRO SPORTS TEAM SHOULD OPEN ITS STADIUM/ARENA/FACILITIES AND TURN THEM INTO POLLING CENTERS!!!

Enough talk, time for action.

hey donut man...............

before boycotting, you need at least a list of demands

This is my biggest issue with the activism I'm hearing from athletes. I hear a lot of nebulous, non-specific terms like "continue the conversation", "get people talking" and "we want to real change". Why not detail what you want? Do you want to end qualified immunity for police? Do you want to see police unions broken up? If so, say that! Are there specific laws you want to pass or candidates you would like to see in office (or taken out of office)? Then talk about that!

Chuck is wrong. Money and status doesn't prevent anyone to be immune to mental health issues.

I'm not sure if Chuck is intentionally trolling or actually ignorant in regards to mental illness. Like MVP MVP said, it has nothing to do with money or status. Anthony Bourdain was a millionaire, world-renowned chef with an amazing job that allowed him to travel the world and he still killed himself. Kate Spade started a huge business, and had a nine-figure net worth and still killed herself. Depression has nothing to do with how much money you have or the perception of how hard your life is. It's a mental illness.

Doc Rivers did exactly what you've asked for last night. What Black people want is absolute freedom. Period. No need for a list of demands. This has been a situation since 1619.

I am certain that the Bryant family's assets will allow them the finest of care, during their grieving process, of which isn't a mental illness.

It’s not that long ago that Barkley got arrested for DUI when he was in the process of trying to get a hummer from a woman other than his wife. He seems to show up to work drunk regularly. Maybe he’s not the best guy to be judging how individuals conduct themselves.

he's such an ignorant has been. why do we give people like charles barkley the attention he thinks he deserves?

that cop apologizing stuff he been doing too this week in between calls for racial justice has been absolutely enraging.

Someone in the Kobe V thread insinuated that Vanessa 'n 'em are fine... because money. :/

I've seen many sentiments on the internet when black celebrities address racist situations they go through people are like "you have millions of dollars it doesn't affect you" like money just adds coat of paint on your skin.

Right. It’s actually somewhat common for successful entertainers to acknowledge struggles with depression and it doesn’t seem to provoke much of a reaction. Why should athletes be any different?

This is dumb just off the premise that he deems someone’s mental health to be tied to their job. I would be curious to hear what professions he deems okay for folks to get upset over.

Its not hard to believe he can’t fathom how millions of people ridiculing you might have an effect on ones psyche considering he’s been rightfully called the studio drunk and village idiot by everyone for years but he just ignores it instead of trying to do better |l

I don't know how Chuck became a voice on serious matters. Like he's been saying dumb **** his whole life and the only reason he's on TNT is for jokes.
There are those who have white supremacist leanings that encourage people like Barkley, Terry Crews, and OJ Simpson to have a platform. Put the dumb negro out there to back up our bootstrap, model minority message. You'll never see Charles Barkley and the like, sitting across the table from someone like LeBron or even Doc Rivers, debating this topic.
