OFFICIAL 2020 STIMULUS CHECK THREAD

One of the major issues with fair compensation is that the media and politicians make the public believe that caring for your fellow man's wages is a bad thing. Tell anyone that you support higher wages for essential workers if it means you get taxed a little bit more and people freak out.

When the news was reporting that McDonalds employees wanted $15 an hour people were appalled. I said I was all for it. If each meal at McDonald's goes up $1 to cover the extra salary of employees then sure. I barely ever eat there but I'll pay the $1 even if I eat there twice a week. But people scream SOCIALIST! and try to denigrate you bc you don't want people to suffer and struggle off garbage wages

That is not the media. That is what people think and say. You are confusing reporting with commentary on the reporting.

Watching Mitch McConnell on CNBC he said they will not negotiate the business protection portion of the stimulus. They want a provision that protects companies and businesses from COVID lawsuits.

He said they will negotiate just about everything else but that.

And then what?
They was gon get him 1 way or another

Nah there's a whole gang of countries that don't extradite to the United States. Personally I couldn't leave the U.S. and NEVER come back but a lifetime in Vietnam or Cambodia with a few $M in an account somewhere isn't even a bad look.

They can't decide on the stimulus so we ain't seeing no grant for a min..

Fyi:
Still at their discretion.
Bank’s not going to withdraw Cash nor wire out large amount without question and delay. Also seen email replies by SBA from in house legal staff and contractors with followup questions. Feds will review most if not all applications.
Do what you think or feel comfortable can prove or get away with but if they want to mess with you, they will.
Just saying.

Followup SBA emails were in regards to Loan part of funding, not the forgivable Advance. Bottom line is some person is reviewing each application, big or small. If the review person flags app, has questions and wants answers, see how far they want to push.

Regarding PPP, there is a bunch of documentation to provide and follow for years. Time on their side. Just like IRS investigations, you would be negotiating behind the 8 ball. How much time and money do you have to fight.

The interviews I have seen between Mitch and Nancy...it for sure isn't happening this week and they recess for 3 weeks I believe after this week.

They are about to send the markets into a frenzy.

I dont think they want the smoke of a crashed stock market and underfunded unemployment to fester for 3 weeks more during an election year. Pretty sure they will work something out over the next 2 days. A lot of evictions that have been on hold can be executed in 3 weeks if no extension is given, not even talking about new cases being filed.
