The UNC talk was because of Delaney being a alum there. I think that pipe dream is done with him gone.

The old heads might still feel some type of way about ND changing their mind in the 90’s, but I still think they’d be in the conference tomorrow if they wanted to, and I think there are probably some around the conference that regret not taking them as a partial member to lock them up long term eventually.

And it looks like ND can pay an exit fee and go where they please (not that they’re a full ACC member)

B12 adding a bunch of mid teams

nako xl nako xl where do Washington and Oregon go from here? They’ve gotta be in talks with the B1G too, I can’t see them leaving USC/UCLA on an island out there. Although I could see B1G wanting a footprint in the south East
They aren't in talks with the B1G yet. The move caught both of them off guard. Plus I think people don't understand how much SC's athletic department REALLY don't like Oregon and Phil Knight. This is a big **** you to them. It's why when these rumors came up last year and people kept talking about Oregon going too, I was like bet you they don't.

That being said, Phil Knight is one of the most powerful individuals in sports and people will listen if he wants to talk. But the school doesn't have too big a national appeal. If they don't convince the B1G they're still going to have to jump ship from the Pac 12 and they'll need a partner to level out any league they go to. Oregon State has no appeal at all, so they're going to have to tie themselves to UW which they'll hate and their only option will be the Big 12

This could all be a power play by USC to get a larger share of the overall revenue of the conference and to end the stupid scheduling setup that guarantees everyone an LA game each season and forces us to play Stanford wk1 or 2 every year (both things that some of the other schools like Oregon have specifically worked to undermine USC on in conference negotiations) but by all appearances it's real and they're done with the PAC. This has been in the works since 2019 and they allegedly threatened going independent as well.

Guess Udub is gonna go compete for Mountain West titles

Oregon being stuck in the B12 aka 2022 version of the Big East would be hilarious.

So what’s the deal with UCLA, were they a package deal with USC? I never thought they’d end up in the B10.

Rose Bowl will be spicy going forward

Yeah there's some bureaucratic stuff there but UCLA is one of the most historic basketball programs in the country. SC is sort of tied to them politically but there's value there. And their inclusion gives the B1G a 2nd LA game yearly for the conference.

nako xl nako xl What do you think Brian Bishop from 247 is doing right now following news of Jackson Arnold winning the Elite 11 MVP?

Im curious to see what the next move will be. Those ACC power teams have got to be looking at the B1G/SEC. PAC will merge with B12 to form a super (mid) conference

Clemson, North Carolina, VA Tech and one more to the SEC?

Miami, Florida State, Notre Dame and one more to the B1G?

Lord have mercy this is gonna be fun.

The Cocanes and Criminoles don't want the smoke coming to the SEC?
