Why should Illinois go? I get it, the football program stinks but there’s absolutely a reason for them to be in the mix because of the basketball program. It’s a good academic fit too. For what it’s worth, I would think Illinois is at least a top 15 public university in the country.

Rutgers stinks at everything but the market is insane. Nobody is checking for Rutgers sports though.

I meant strictly from a football standpoint. I’d actually keep Illinois over Northwestern but then again Northwestern will randomly put up a good football season. Honestly a lot of the B10 teams are typically decent/good in at least one sport and earn their keep.

I would assume that when its all said and done that the B10 will aim to add a number of southern teams

Clemson to the B1G?
This would be far more interesting to me than Oregon/Washington/BYU.

Why not grab Notre Dame, then encroach on SEC country? Go get UNC, Clemson and one of the Florida schools.

It sounds like they're putting the full court press on notre dame and Josh Pate and the SCar board mod reported yesterday that Clemson is negotiating with the B1G.

I truly hope ND gets left out of a conference and falls flat on their face. I know that won’t ever happen because of money but I’m in the minority who doesn’t want them in the B1G

Consensus seems to be Dante and Jackson Arnold are really good. Maybe better than recognized nationally. Malachi held his own.

Not shocked with the Dante news… Michigan recruiting is so odd and frustrating.

LOVE THIS EXPANSION TALK. NCAA is full of scumbags and this couldn't happen to a bigger group of scums.

I wonder how that would work with a UNC and not Duke (not that I want Duke) with how close they are and their rivalry

Wishlist huh?

Jen Cohen better show up anyways

would have been cool to see Moore stay in state. Give Michigan a great QB for once.

Michigan NIL gotta be weak, yeah?

Me too. From what I’ve read, notre dame is priority and then Oregon/Washington. Doesn’t seem like anyone is touching ACC yet with their contracts are they?
I think if the B1G wanted Oregon and UW as high priority they would have brought them in at the same time as the other two to keep the Pac from trying to interfere with subsequent moves.

Oregon was completely blindsided by the LA schools leaving, and it’s a move that hurts them on multiple levels, so there was no communication there prior.
