Everything you are saying IS why I believe it's mental.

He COULD be training incorrectly (shooting with the wrong hand maybe?)

He is shooting with the wrong hand. It happened when he was 13. His pops told him to dribble and shoot with his right hand, to be ambidextrous. What happened is…Ben just kept shooting/not shooting with the hand.

Ben credits his dextrous displays to his father's sleight-of-hand demands during his childhood's developmental stages. Father told son to dribble and shoot lefty. At LSU, Ben fires all jump shots left-handed with ease, but finishes right-handed at the rim most often.

"I think I was supposed to be right-handed," Ben says. "It's all natural now."

Theoretically, if hes naturally a righty can he get a righty jumpshot now? I know hes been shooting left forever but its always gonna feel more natural with your strong hand. Maybe working his right will be better in the long run than fixing a broke lefty shot.

I follow Ben Simmons dexterity.

I am right handed with EVERYTHING in life but I shoot jumpshots left handed. Not sure how that happened but I have attempted to shoot right handed jumpers and it just feels AWKWARD.

Layups, floaters, punches, all right handed for me.

Bron is the same way from what I heard. (Just opposite)

Reddit - cringe - Kevin Garnett somewhat uncomfortable reacting to bizarre contortionist routine

"uhh yeaaa uhhh I gotta get this ayee"

KG might be the most unintentionally funny player ever man

Whatever happened to Area 21?

he used to do some really weird **** at LSU (and still does sometime now). Where have an easy finish with the left…but switch to his right and miss :lol. This video is a good breakdown on it.

His shooting base is also naturally right handed. With his feet, hand placement.

***** used to shoot a left handed jumper with his right foot forwards :lol. Try that and look at how uncomfortable that is.

So my theory null and void basically.

Im a righty when I played, decent left for layups but id never do it unless I had to. I actually have decent form and doesnt feel off if I shoot lefty just messing around, but that thang is brick city all day. I think I focus so much on the form that theres no room to aim.

I was born a lefty. Over time, became right hand dominant and do every thing with my right.

Except playing pool. I shoot left handed in pool :lol. **** is strange.

Ben Simmons' shooting woes are a perfect storm of buffoonery

Bad decisions compounded by more bad decisions that finally came to a head this series

The dude wasted years of progress by being unserious. :{

As someone who is amphibious, I’m left handed (write with my left hand) but I have a right hand base in a sports (I throw with my right). So when I hoop, I do everything right side based but I shoot with my left

it’s awkward as hell for me and my body just wired that way. This ***** intentionally shooting wrong handed
