It can't be understated how badly Maxi played last year, plus Dallas was without Brunson the whole series and KP for most of it.

Hardaway Jr was fine, but took a big step back in shooting efficiency from what he'd done for the year as a whole. Seth Curry was great in two games and OK or worse in 4. Everyone got over-extended a year ago and it was a team largely without an ounce of playoff exposure.

Having their full rotation of guys available has been massive. They can surround Luka with 4 guys that shoot around 40% from three for an overwhelming majority of the minutes he's going to play.

For all the talk about Trez last year, Zu also cannot defend in space…. At all. He’s in drop in the PnR, several Mavs are capable of hitting that floater. They catch him on the perimeter & it’s an open jumper or a straight line drive & the Clippers’ communication on the backend is nonexistent.
