It's amazing watching games like this from 20 years ago. Miami had such a huge talent advantage, especially offensively, but weren't able to exploit that talent advantage because of the closed-in in offensive scheme"run the ball and play defense" mentality of that era.
Imagine watching that early 2000s Miami offensive in a wide open, modern scheme. Just think about Jeremy Shockey, Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, etc playing in a scheme that better suited their skill sets.

Sadly the reason Bob Stoops stepped away and another coach who I can’t remember right now was thinking of retiring early.
