I saw a tweet 2-3 weeks ago where some homer was sayin they were a blue blood because 3 QB's leadin their teams to the playoffs........

(He was including Mariota :rollin )

Nix and Herbert got demolished a week later and Mariota hasn't touched the field for Washington.

I hate these people. Now y'all finally seein what I see. Blazer folks were the same way. Mike Rice used to include them with the Lakers and Celtics as NBA top franchises. :rollin :rollin

Poor little ducks couldn’t even finish #2, I’m sure they’ll cry about that too

Crazy OSU beat 2,3,4,5,9, and 10

Not really.
Voting Georgia behind a Texas team they beat twice is certainly a choice.
All they did was take the champs as 1 then the playoff teams they beat on the way as 2,3,&4.

Love all the Oregon hate. Still salty about ‘14, so keep the venom flowing.

dave chappelle hate GIF

Interestingly enough, pick 6 preview did their annual Blue blood poll. It's basically been the same teams every year.

I wonder at what stage will Nebraska no longer be considered a blue blood. Or were they always be considered a blue blood because of what they accomplish between the 1960s-1990s

Boomers and Gen X keeping the Nebraska vibes alive. It'll fade once they do

Then they'll make a couple playoff appearances and it will be back again

Nebraska been utter trash for over a decade, no way should they be lumped in with them other programs regardless of what they did way back in the 90s. Might as well throw Harvard and all them schools in there too that dominated in the 1900s :lol

The curse of Bo Pelini will never end

I hate that dude. He’s an OSU groupie who works for SFE. I doubt Jeremiah leaves OSU anyways but it’s a fun thing for Miami fans to dream about . Hopefully he runs it up on yall for $6Ms a year

Gonna have to sell the rights to the stadium at this rate :{

If Bryce Underwood can get crazy money having never thrown a pass I fully support Jeremiah getting everything he can

Texas is probably the most overrated program in the sport. We have more nattys than them.

These are the true blue bloods IMO. They’ve all been winning for essentially 100 years and none has less than 7 national titles

A team can suck and still be a blue blood. The fact there’s a debate shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the term among the “new” pundits.

Also… Pssst

*Looks around* Texas really isn’t and never has been a blue blood.

I said this a few posts back. Texas is the most overrated program in the sport. Tennessee has a much stronger case.

Like I mentioned above, I think the cut off on that list should be below USC because of longevity and the number of titles.

Do you all think teams not recognized on that list will ever be? For instance, let’s say a fringe team outside goes on a killer run, how long do they need to sustain it to be recognized? Like LSU for example

Obviously this is all a matter of opinion along with stats of course

I’ve always thought it was an odd title seeing as how you never see teams lose their blue blood “status” nor do you ever see teams gain it

I think we should adjust for post-intégration when having that convo for sure

I get this but some of these schools are relevant to this day because of their pre-integration success. Why else would elite athletes continue to go to schools like Oklahoma and Notre Dame over the generations? Because of the clout they built in the days of leather helmets.
