I would imagine that this is purely a financial move in Penn State is backing up the brinkstruck but still seems like an odd decision. This is literally a backwards career move.

And Chip Kelly might be gone

Knowles is from Philly I believe so it makes sense in that regard. I’m assuming Matt G the safeties coach will go with him. I’d love to see Walton (CBs coach) promoted, he’s a hell of a recruiter and coach. I don’t think Knowles and Larry Johnson ever patched things up either so it’s not a huge shock, just surprised he went to PSU but they should be pretty good next season.

Oh well coaches endure this stuff all the time after a natty. Definitely a big loss though

Knowles has been butting heads with the other coaches on the staff. It sounds like there was tension particularly between him and Day/Larry Johnson. I posted in here about it a week or two ago.

His agent was putting out that he’d been talking to OU but ND and PSU got involved after Golden left and D’Anton Lynn turned down Franklin.

This. Supposedly after the Oregon game (where the defense looked awful and had zero pressure on Gabriel) Day stepped in and Knowles wasn’t able to run his *full* scheme ever since. Him and Johnson clashed because he wanted to run his 3-3-5 (I think that’s what it was) like he did in the B12 and Johnson didn’t like that. They’d been beefing all season over it. Sounds like grown men from both sides had hurt feelings and couldn’t get over it

Just seeing this spreading. Wonder if it's McMurphy's source. Allegedly his fiancee's real FB:

That looks like a 5th grader typed that out :lol

Oh well, dudes gone at the end of the day no matter what happened. They’ve still got a bum QB and no receivers so best of luck to them

They got Kyron Hudson from us and promised him WR1 reps so we'll see. Penn State will be a pre-season top 5.

I was actually looking back at their Rose Bowl roster against us, and it's insane Franklin didn't win more with that team: Saquon, Godwin, Gesicki, McSorley, Miles Sanders... There were 23 future NFL players on that roster.

I may be starting to understand the Franklin criticisms.

I’m telling you :lol

Again, he’s not a BAD coach but at some point he’s got to get over the hump of OSU and Michigan. I mean even this year he won two playoff games but we all know those teams were not that good and they got the luckiest draw in the world.

They’ll be top 5 for sure. It looks like they’re following the recent Michigan/OSU blueprint of bringing back veteran players

So you were arguing in my texts about Franklin being underrated for no reason?

I looked at the roster yesterday. We had that convo weeks ago.

You were arguing in my texts Guidry was an elite DC and Cristobal was a good game manager. Opinions change.

Now you know the last sentence is a LIE

This reads like a fanfiction 😂

Georgia, Penn State, Utah, Alabama

Hard to call it a meaningless game for Michigan. That win coupled with the Alabama win is a huge boost going into the off-season.

In terms of the cfp, the importance of the game has been diminished. You can win the cfp without winning the game.

Besides OSU winning it all, you could argue Michigan had the best ending to their season of any other team

The last of my secret Santa gifts came from aepps20 aepps20 . He keeps hooking me up with Gunner Stockton gear. Now I need to root for him and hope he wins the job!
