I think the players we are acquiring have very little left in the tank. It's just a list of players that are at the end of their careers and are bench warmers at this point. Thibs like vets so it all makes sense.

Noel - trash in DET
Gibson - trash in WAS
Bullock/Frank/Kemba/etc - trash in DAL
Burks - same player in DET
Fournier - gonna be the same whatever team he gets traded to
Rose - end of career bench warmer at this point too, gave it his last in the Hawks series

There's a possibility the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Thibs never really wanted Cam but did start playing him.

Cam showed positives and negatives. He can hit the 3, handle the ball, defend but also dealt with inconsistency and low bball IQ moments.

They probably fell out over their perceptions of Cam's production/effort.

Look at IQ. He was beyond trash most the season. They forcefully gave him all those minutes consistently and all of a sudden they no longer want to trade him.

IQ is the only young player this coach gave the ultimate green light to during his tenure.

Just when y’all thought randle was back to 2020 Randle. He totally is redeeming himself and back to his 2021 self!!! :rollin

trade randle while ppl still think he's returning to his 2020 mip form.. he's just too inconsistent and can't perform under pressure. he is a turnover machine at times and forces way too many bad shots. rj appears to be the same old ~20 pt avg scorer without significant improvement. brunson is the only one that is developing into an all star. grimes has potential too.
