Blame JB... They produce milliona of pairs of garbage shoes like BC 6s and Motorsport 4s but can't make enough Royal 1s to satisfy demand.

Say what you will about Adidas but at least they provide sneakerheads with great options (like UBs, NMDs) outside of hyped collabs. Jordan Brand USED to do that and in Q4 of last year they started doing it again with some amazing holiday releases but now it's back to "one good shoe release every 4-6 months" strategy again.
