This is how I feel for the most part. I’ve been fortunate to be able to get all the shoes I’ve really truly wanted. My list was based on this fantasy, and is fun to think about, but they’re not “grails” per se, in that I absolutely NEED any of them. I did recently obtain one of my grails that I’ve always wanted, the Jordan 4 Blings (all white w/ chrome 4s, but with the perforated leather in place of the plastic mesh) from 2000. But otherwise I have all of my “grails” really.

That's the beauty of it. Simplicity is such a nice thing that's been understated too often imo. It's for people who are in the know forreal. If someone rocks those no one will know unless they are a sneakerhead. Like when people would rock the Motorpsport 6 to someone not in the know they wont care but those are grails for lots of people. To me with Frags you dont have to try hard to dress up, down, different and can literally go with anything it's like a lowkey stunt. They are so versatile while the others are kinda pigeonholed depending on the wearer because the nature of them. But y'know that's me. Navy Metallics are also a top 5 1 for me for the same reason versatility and simplicity with a nice color balance are key for me in a collection.

Yeah, I guess I never looked at it from this point of view. I guess it's cool that only sneakerheads would be able to know it's a collab. It's just that in my mind, my idea of a collab is a design that moves away from how the original looks and add its own twist that you can actually see.
