lmao and if there was jumpman branding on jordan 1 retros, guess what...people would still buy them!! For all your criticisms, JB still got you on a mf string staffsgtdignam staffsgtdignam you prove my point more and more with each post  you out here paying $200 over retail for their products, you in the green glow 1 thread plotting on your next purchase, clearly they still got you as a loyal customer. Even if you're not giving them your $$ directly, whoever sells you the shoes did, and then you're putting their billboards on your feet. JB is very happy with you. Keep it up!

And that's why all this marketing and promotion outweighs all the subpar product because...guess what....y'all still buy them!!

I didn’t buy those Mochas, I took that screenshot at the time to see if resale would drop soon after (it didn’t). Where did I say I don’t buy their products? I’m not even trying to argue with you on that lol It’s not like 100% of their products are either good or bad-it’s not a black/white issue at all.

All I’m saying is that the brand has made positive changes due to criticism by customers who are passionate about those same products. Not sure why you would have an issue with this lol

Mochas were the poor mans Travis' until they actually released and were hard to get.

Stimulus money and PMP loan money changed things back then. Everything that released back when basically has a Covid curve.

The Palominos were a good release, and weren't hard to get. It probably had to do with them changing production numbers and then they sit.
Mochas were going for quite a bit on preorder so I don’t think them bricking was ever in the cards tbh. Also, not every AJ 1 OG High was reselling-releases like the Court Purples, Electro Oranges, and Silver Toes still bricked though but I do agree that they weren’t hitting deep discounts like releases nowadays are and I’m sure a lot of that had to do with COVID stimulus money and the general economy back then vs now.

Then dudes would whine and cry about that. It's too soon. It's lazy.

Some people are going to complain regardless

It's weird to me. Do people complain about stuff on the Chickfila menu they don't buy?

It's kind of hard to make this comparison because you can still go to CFA any day except Sunday and still get what you want. I can't walk into Nike tomorrow and say I want a brand new pair of Jordan 1 UNC highs.

A lot of people are looking at these retro+ colorways as us getting these instead of more desirable pairs.

Nah, I can make the comparison, because most people buy the same thing from Chickfila over and over again. It's like Raising Canes. They aren't worried about the stuff they don't buy. Who cares that they sell chicken salad sandwiches. It's not for you.

That was my comparing. Too many people on this board spend time and energy complaining about stuff they have no intentions of buying. Once you see it, why do you need to keep coming in a topic saying the same thing over and over.

1) That ain't the point. The point is why you worrying about what you don't want, if it makes other people happy? I could give a damn about some true flights but I'm not gonna go walk up to a 12 year old and shame him for that

2) That ain't how that works lmao. We could speculate all day. You could look at it that way, but I'm pretty sure you'd be wrong. Do you deadass think there's designers sitting in a zoom call or conference table going "hmm...50 guys on NT and twitter want a UNC retro in the '85 mold? Too bad, we're giving them suede university blues instead." Hell no  I guess this NT main character syndrome cannot be cured

JB is so much bigger now than retros of shoes Michael Jordan wore. They making golf shoes, jorts, cargo pants, button ups, the list goes on. Their money comes from outfitting families and athletes, not appeasing sneakerheads.

Please... Leave the comment policing to the mods. 99% of every discussion we have on here is a conversation we've had before, that's the nature of a forum.. comments/sentiments are going to get repeated. The same way y'all say people make the same complaints over and over again, you can the say the same exact thing about you same 3-4 posters who write the same dissertations complaining about people complaining. Take your own advice, if you those comments bother you just ignore em. It's not that deep man.

.

I was talking to a coworker a couple of days ago about sneakers. She wears a lot of AJ1's and knows a little bit about shoes, but it seems to be her fiancee who is the real sneaker fan. She was telling me her ex husband bought her son some True Flight type of Jordans over the weekend and he was all happy to show his future step-dad. Apparently the step-dad smiled in the kid's face, but then told my coworker "we can't have him walking around in those. It's embarrassing." It sounds like he's so embarrassed, they're gonna send the shoes back to kid's dad's place and be like "just wear those when your with dad, " like it reflects poorly on him that his stepson is wearing takedown J's. This is a whole other level of foolishness. :rolleyes

No wonder he is her ex-husband.. the dude she told him not to worry about wouldn’t mess with True Flights lol

Just my 2 cents kinda of childish kids don't know but if the parents wear retros I guess the children should also wear them

Yeah that's extremely corny imo... At the very least they can be used as play shoes.
I raised my 1st daughter with that retro only mindset granted I was part time at FTL so it was nothing at the time but now with my 2nd daughter I let her pick own kiddie shoes and every now and then I might buy her a Nike/Jordan shoe don't want to raise her with those materialistic habits

Completely agree. My boys are 10 & soon to be 9... I got them everything I wore when they were toddlers and I've been letting them pick out what they want. Naturally, they tend to pick whatever they see me wear so they still have been wearing mostly Js but I'll surprise them with Nike retros or kicks from other brands just to let them know that there are kicks out there besides Js.
