Looking for an easy sound system for my mustang. I don't know much about car audio so I was planning on getting a 12" JL w6, and maybe a 1000w JL amp.
Myn boy told me I could get something that hits harder with better sound quality for cheaper. Any recommendations? I plan on keeping the stock deck (maybe geta flush pioneer 7" screen deck) and stock interior speakers.
Any help would be dope.

First thing you should do is change the deck and interior speakers..stock speakers will not keep up with a sub in the trunk..

do you mean the 04-05? the 04 is known to have a few minor problems with maintenance because it is the intro model. there are a few differencesbetween the 04-05 and the 06-08. the big ones would be different rims, the 5 hp boost, fog lights, aux input (for your mp3 or whatever), and passenger powerseats. there are a few more, but those are the ones i looked and actually made a difference for me before i bought.
i wouldn't mind some more power, but it's a great-looking car. classic styling and still very fun to drive, while being practical with 4 doors anddecent room.

Whats the deal with Neons? I'm thinking of getting a 2nd gen as a daily driver but are they dependable? I don't think I can mess with Honda'sbecause out here those things get stolen every other day.
