...Official BLACKBERRY Thread v.updated...

I would probably say that those handful of people are either lying (since if there was anything definitely there are a couple of Rogers' people that wouldhave confirmed already on HoFo before anyone could have ordered it) or they ordered the "new" curve (the 8320 just released as well, so maybe thereps didn't know they were talking about the 8900 Javelin/Curve, they put in an order for the "Curve that just came out")

That's just my theory, there are a few sources on HoFo that would have confirmed or made an official thread already if it was really available, so I'mcalling ducktales on those people who claimed they ordered one already before any official announcement from a legitimate source.

AT&T Users-Anyone have 3-400 minutes a month, unlimited data and text? Trying to figure out if it's worthswitching from T-Mobile.

no, its a smaller version of the bold bascially. only thing i know is that it has a better camera. 3.2 mega pixel.
And the bold is a lot faster. The 8900 tops off at 512mhz and the bold was at like 645mhz last time i checked

I have heard anywhere from January to May. Either way, I think I'm going to wait it out for now with the curve and get the bold whenever itcomes out for Tmobile, instead of buying it unlocked.

Crackberry.com forums is where I got that info from. I'm not sure if they're lying, but it came from a pretty reliable dude, so who knows. Eitherway, the release IS right around the corner.

And for the record, crackberry.com > hofo.com when it comes to BB news. Hofo for everything else though, without a doubt.

help me out NT. free agent currently since earlier this month. should i stay with verizon and cop the storm? or switch to at&t to cop the bold, and alsoget 20% off my monthly bill? any suggestion/thoughts would be greatly appreciated

You can unlock the Storm for GSM...but you won't get 3G North American band speeds, only EDGE, for the person that asked.

Crackberry got their story from HoFo I believe, and the only reason I would trust HoFo over CB in THIS situation is because it came from a Rogers leak, whichHoFo has heavy Rogers employees leaking info for, whatever the product is.

Although I do agree, CB > HoFo for Blackberry news in general, but for Rogers-specific releases and internal database/releases for individual carriers, Iwould trust that kind of info on HoFo more.

where do i get the bold theme for my curve?

help please!!!!!!!!!!!

^^go into profiles>advanced>hit the BB button>Edit>click on what you want to change (phone, sms, email acct) and change tone

Seems like they worked out most of the kinks-

heres the leak of the upgraded OS...it was rumored that the storms were rushed so they didnt get the newest OS in time for shipping- they shipped a limitedamount of units to avoid another pushback thus the shortage....but anyways here it is-

3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. If you are not on Verizon, delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common filesesearch in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Yes it is. I called T-Mo/BlackBerry rep. and they said you could purchase it and it'll run on EDGE just fine here. You do have to get itunlocked though, and service providers don't allow you to unlock the phone until 90 days after the phone hasreleased according to the T-Mo BlackBerry rep. I don't know if that means you can't unlock it elsewhere.
