I have heard anywhere from January to May. Either way, I think I'm going to wait it out for now with the curve and get the bold whenever it comes out for Tmobile, instead of buying it unlocked.
wait so the bold is coming to t-mobile?

I just copped the BB curve, and i got a question! What happens if you call and cancel the bb data plan? I dont really need internet and id rather just get 1000texts. Do i get penalized in any way for canceling the data plan? Thanks for any info!

I don't think they charge you to cancel at all.. it's like canceling your text.

thanks for the info! I dont know why they just dont make the data plan as an option, rather than forcing it on people and then, in turn, allowyou to cancel it!

What's the point in having a BB if you're not gonna use the internet or push email?

umm... because its a really good phone! My last phone was a piece of *+%!! HTC Mogul ftmfl!

If you don't need BB BIS/BES data/email, and you really want a good PHONE, the next best option is the Nokia E71.

I know some people will say "well I want the QWERTY keyboard, PDA functions, BB reception/battery, etc" but it's really a shame if you don'thave data on a BB, might as well go for a quality phone instead.

i just been hearin so much negative on the storm, i wanna hear is full review.
it just needs a software update because the OS is kinda slow and there are a couple bugs. also, normal BB users complain about typing on it, whichobviously isn't going to be as easy. but it is easier than the iphone imo. if you're getting a BB so you can type a mile a minute, avoid the storm.

I'm waiting on my bb storm to come now...
for those who have it or have played around with it how has your expierence been so far??
I had a G1 and was very unhappy with it so i sent it back...

i just posted on the last page sir-

but yes overall I'm loving the storm right now....haven't had much chance to add extras to it and it had/has some issues like i expected -

the new software update is slated to fix most if not all and then from there it will only get better...the design, feel, etc are all perfect to me-

the click + touch is

i can hardly type on an iphone and have gotten used to the keyboards but after aday or two i am just as fast on this joint - and i'm hearing the update increased the speed of the typing so we'll see about that too-

the internet is enh right now...but again i'm on the reg bb browser and ive never been a fan of that - i was waiting to see if i get used to the typingbefore i customized the joint to keep it and its looking like a go right now!

alot of the negative nonsense is people expecting a god send...its a brand new device of course theres gonna be issues...the iphone is the "perfectphone" for alot of people but im sure if they grabbed one of the 1st off the production line they werent saying it back then - at the end of the day idont see any major issues that cant be dealt with by software revisions or added on by 3rd party apps so I'm happy with it-

and i think its bringing me luck cause i cleaned up again this weekend at foxwoods

i posted up the update a few posts back - its the official leak- ifyour talking about the official bb drop then im not sure but it should be soon-

i just dont want to do that one then another right after so i'll hold out til wed- but theres a lot of feedback on CB and it seems to solve alot of issues-

if your new to updating it might be tricky....just back up your phone in case you brick it...

most of the OS updates are the same for all BB's

Download the the new update, then:

1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/http://forums.crackberry..../f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. If you are not on Verizon, deletevendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common filesesearch in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initializeit.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

well Soulize my plan included unlimited instant messaging/push email and all that but i didnt get data because i thought wifi would still let me connect to thebrowser since at uni im always near a router so i skipped out on the data plan. that being said some one i know told me after you cant use the browser withouta data plan
