Who's getting Bold on the 27th?
Hopefully they dont change the release date again
I'd just get a new battery altogether. I'm not sure if an AT&T store will cover it but RIM definitely will. Call AT&T customerservice and asked to be transferred to a BlackBerry specialist. The battery should be under warranty and it usually arrives in about a week. I don't thinkthey ask you to send back the old battery either. If you can live with this battery problem for the next week, you're good, you should receive it by then.Originally Posted by Craftsy21
Question for you guys... i guess i want an opinion really.
My brand new Pearl 8120 (2.5 weeks old) has been acting up already in terms of the battery - for about 3 days it wasn't wanting to charge unless i had the plug in just so, and then it wouldn't hard charge for more than 2 hours even just idling. Well, i ended up taking the battery out and putting it back in, and like magic it was working perfectly normal again. So it was fine for a few days, and then it started doing it again - so i did the same battery removal and replacing trick and it seems to work fine again today.
Do you think i should get this replaced immediately or will it be okay? If so, is this covered under BB or ATT? (note: i don't have insurance on this, but i'm hoping since i just got it that it will be under some kind of warranty still?)
What's the difference between the tmobile 4.5 os and the one not from tmobile?
the one from tmo should have the bugs from the beta version fixed
if i got the 4.5 beta os do i still need to upgrade to the real thing?
the beta has 'bugs' although they are minor, the 'real thing' should have them fixed, i would personally say that if you didnthave any problems upgrading in the first place, go for it
i just got the 8330 on verizon and i am wondering how to upgrade the os?
i upgraded with the official blackberry 4.5, but docs to go and html email dont work, i only upgraded to get new themes and junk... verizon should be releasingtheir official 4.5 soon enough so if i were you, just wait it out and upgrade when it drops
trying this now...thought you wouldn't have to delete the vendor file since its the real tmo release?Originally Posted by VIIheaven

Uninstall any previous OS on your computer and put install 4.5. I don't know why it isn't working for you even with 4.2 installed, DM usually recognizes the newest update.
Anyway, also delete the XML/Vendor File located in Program Files ---> Common Files ----> Research in Motion ---> AppLoader
and be on your merry way.

Tre - You are right...you do not have to delete the vendor file since it is an official release...I did mine yesterday and it worked fine...
Also, Try unistalling 4.2 from your pc via the control panel - add/remove programs..
Hopefully they dont change the release date again

STORMI don't think you needed to delete the Vendor file, its just that when I installed the new OS on my PC, and it was in the middle of installing the update on my Curve, it got stuck on "Reading Programs" or something. So I just said eff it, canceled the update since it wasn't moving and deleted the .xml file as a pre-cautionary thing.
Hope everything is fine with your phone though. I love the new look of the Address Book. The browser is going to take some getting used to though.
