OFFICIAL COMIC BOOK THREAD

Man, Xmen books are getting so wack now. Hate what Marvel is doing with them. Bout to drop all of them but Old Man Logan. Marvel needs to bring back Cyclops, Xavier, the real Wolverine etc.

Wait the Terrigen Mists are ******* with mutants now? :rollin

Bruh Marvel just loves handing Ls to Homo Superior :rollin

lol, not only are they making Mutants sick and killing them, they're also sterilizing them as well. That's why I said it's the exact same situation as before, but now that I think about it this is actually worse. Decimation massively reduced the number of Mutants in the world and made it so that new Mutants couldn't be born either. The Terrigen Mists are actively killing whatever Mutants remain and then kicking them while they're down by making it so they can't have children period. :{

Since their resurgence under Claremont, every decade there's been something wiping out mutants :lol

From the 80s on basically.

Inhumans are low key some of the worst villains in the MU. :lol

Inhumans are low key some of the worst villains in the MU. :lol

They're honestly portrayed as unlikeable jerks half the time :lol It's why I always preferred the X-Men and Mutants more, beyond the latter also having more interesting stories/appearances.

I'm ready to have all the Marvel characters under one roof. Fox needs to work out a Sony type of deal with the X-Men and Fantastic Four. They can keep Deadpool as-is and Marvel Studios can reboot the other characters.

Rebooting the F4 isn't anything because I doubt anyone is expecting a Fant4stic 2. Rebooting the X-Men might be even easier because they keep doing period pieces and reset the continuity.

I honestly only want Marvel to gain the Fantastic 4 franchise for Dr. Doom and various other properties that fall under it, such as the Silver Surfer and the Negative Zone. Also some alien/inter-dimensional races, like the Skrulls. That last one especially, since I still think that both a Kree-Skrull War and a Secret Invasion storyline could each hold its own Phase in the MCU. The F4 themselves are irrelevant.

I'm good with the X-Men either way, since they're typically removed from greater Marvel stories anyways. Would be nice to get a proper Wolverine film though.

Too late for mutants to just get that shine in the MCU. I highly doubt they'll reboot a thing either to accomdate the X-Men. Marvel just needs the F4 and their villains.

Fox should've long ago bent the knee.

Plenty X-fans don't heed this message.

Case in point:

Marvel Studios needs to get the mutants for the MCU so we can throw the Inhumans in the trash where they belong
:lol

The more crazy fans go as far to sound like members of friends of humanity or straight up reference real discrimination.

The irony is rich.

They've grown on me cuz a good chunk of them actually have their own culture and society. They're recognized as soverign and don't give a **** if ppl hate or fear them.

I'm done with mutants who never get a W and are constantly fighting from a losing position. If these comics are gonna culturally appropriate rather metaphors and references that acknowledge the heritage of the group and show how they'll stand strong.

Plus Black Bolt :hat

Just finished the 3 books of Ultimate Spiderman: Miles Morales, and it was pretty good. Don't know which one I liked more, Miles or Superior.
Gonna start Spider-Man because that's the continuation I think?

Yes it is.

You could read the last issue of Hickman's Secret Wars (#9) to see how things lead in to Spider-Man just so you get an idea of why certain ppl are alive and others not around.

i know this isnt the movie thread and i dont usually watch anything WB/ DC but i did see suicide squad last night... I just want to know how accurate it was to the comics?

i still dont know exactly what was going down, i watched bits and pieces of BVS (kept fast forwarding) to get to fight scenes.

It was kind of a mess accuracy wise. Joker was a mix of his look from all star batman along with TDKR and Ross' Harley Quinn run.

Although there were some scenes taken directly from the comics. The Ace chemicals baptism scene is straight out of the new 52, there's a few Easter eggs regarding clothing that pay homage to Ross and TDKR and then there's stuff where they just take their own liberties.

So did/do the people who know about the SS like the movie?

I had no idea batman would be in it that was pretty cool

Either people liked it or didn't. I know comic people who hated and loved it and I know non comic people who hated and loved it. It's a polarizing movie

There's nothing particularly off as far as conic book accuracy goes. Deadshot is white and Captain Boomerang is a little cooler. Enchantress isn't a demon from another dimension. Amanda Waller is fatter.

My brother was saying comics wise boomerang is better.
He didnt know about the rest.

I think harley was excellent. Jared leto was just ok to me. Probably last place with his portrayal imo. He didnt seem crazy enough imo

If it means anything to you the guy that made the Suicide Squad what they are, laying the foundation that every other writer afterwards has followed, liked the film

In terms of accuracy there are some things that you could see in the comics, such as Deadshot having a daughter, and some things that are unique to the film, such as Boomerang's pink unicorn fetish.

I liked it. There were meh moments but this also comes from EVERY movie being 2+hours now. Not many movies over 2 hours these days have been great all 2+ hours.

The movie was okay at best IMO, Harley and Joker were my fav parts. Killer croc had a dope voice, just some dumb lines lol wish he was bigger and more menacing. Deadshot was koo in certain scenes like the prison shooting was dope. But I think a big thing I didn't like was some of the writing, I cringed in certain parts there were too many stupid lines. Will is a great actor but you give him bad lines he looks goofy and not serious. Just my opinion, I do want to see the extended version and deleted scenes.

yeah that issue makes more sense now. Finished Ultimate End too, I really liked Cloak and Dagger :lol
