What does it mean when you get a message that you need Silvers in your starting 11 and reserves in Ultimate Team? Does your whole squad need to be silver players? I'm trying to play a season match and this is the message I get.

When playing online (interactive and seasons) does anyone else experience their players doing weird stuff. My players sometimes stand still, move the wrong direction, pass inaccurately, not go toward the ball when it is passed  to them, when changing players it goes to the wrong player? If so do you know what causes this? 

Yeah welcome to the club fam. It's gotten worse through the years as they try to improve the AI. I tried explaining it a few pages ago and I'm starting to believe EA implements a hidden script in favor of your team or the opponents to win. Just Google "FIFA scripting" and people all over the world have the same issues.

I'll have games where my teammates constantly make runs and break down the defense and feel like my players are ball magnets winning tackle after tackle. Then there's the games where your team feels like they are in quicksand standing around or moving slowly to positions, your simple 5 yd pass just blows past em, or you can't make a tackle to save your life because if feels like your opponent is just floating around you.

If you have been playing FIFA for awhile you can tell when things are just not in your control. I'm not talking about being unlucky either because it happens in soccer and FIFA...but there are certainly situations where you feel the game is against you or just completely going your way. Theres really no fix to it but having to deal with their BS. It's all in their programming and coding. EA has publicly denied there is no such thing as scripting in FIFA but they started to ban people on their forums who tried to dissect and go further into why Online Seasons and FUT is so inconsistent. I don't play that often but I shouldn't feel like im a worse player today than I was a few years ago.

Kind of noticed some of those things. You don't know how many times I yell out, "BRUH, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"

yep, there are times when everything is clicking and your team is on point, and other times where the tide seems to completely change against you through no fault of your own. sometimes my players can't even make basic passes or miss pretty easy shots.
idk, i'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but it's part of the reason why this game frustrates the hell out of me sometimes.

I always felt like during online play the CPU sometimes wants a particular player to win lol.
Ive gone through most of the stuff stated in this thread.

Most recently tho, my player will chip shots randomly when I try to shoot normal. Its actually led to losses or draws.

I agree with all of yall and definitely have been in the same situations. I used to never rage playing games until FIFA 13 and 14. I've gone a week not talking to my girl because I accidentally snapped and called her a bish during one of me games before

It's crazy to find out people all over have the same problems. I honestly thought that it was me for the longest. Almost had me retiring the sticks lol.

I just hope 15 will be something new and not all marketing gimmicks or the same old crap. They've promised new engines, shot tech, blah blah blah but it's all broken and negatively affects the gameplay.

The scripting is soo real. I had Ronaldo on a fast break nice through ball from Marko Marin. The ball gets through but Ronaldo runs away . Smh I almost broke my controller. Screw this game

serious question, what do the developers get out of scripting the game in your opinions

edit: i highly doubt they choose winners in the beginning of the match, but I do believe there are things done to keep games close or for clutch stoppage time goals.

i think a lot of people who are wack in the game are gunna use it as a pathetic excuse now though.

I have a partna that cannnot touch me n madden. Im talkin ive won prob 49/50 but somehow the game is alwaysss close. 90 perfent of the time. When in actuality id be a 21 pt favorite every game. Ill be up 14 goin into halftime n have a kick returned or my rb fumbles for a scoop n score

Same with fifa. Ill have 60 percent posession be winning every category but u best believe if i dont convert my chances despite being outshot 10:1 ur opponent willll convert that 90th min half chance. I dont eem get upset anymore

This. You cant let the game progress with a 1-0 score. Else somehow your opponent will get some lucky *** goal tying the game.

yesterday i was up 1-0 against Spurs. 90th minute they have a corner, i clear it, this guy Vertonghen collects it and out dribbles half my team and scores for the equalizer

As soon as they had a 90th minute corner i knew they were going to score

I'm in my 6th season with Arsenal

My first season I sold Giroud and got Benteke, didnt really like him so i got Suarez. Same thing, didnt really like him..SOO i got Lewandowski...SAME THING .. I eventually settled with Mandzukic, scored 46 his first season ..

Mandzukic was getting old and I picked up Benteke again..but this time he has 90 strength, 95 finishing, 95 shot power, and like 90 penalties


I also created a player and put him on arsenal, a LM.. hes too good though, started as a 73 when he was 18. Now hes an 89 when hes like 22 I think? I forget how old he is, but im definitely going to make him like a 73 and 22 years old next time..he'll hit his prime 5/6th season



Just won the confed cup with Germany, still yet to win the CL. My goal (since fifa 13) is to win these with Germany/Arsenal

2016: European championship, league (if possible)
2017: league
2018: league, FA cup, league cup (not important), Champions League, World Cup, then retire.....i did EVERYTHING in fifa 2013, but lost to Italy in the final of the WC, felt like those 6 seasons were worthless

13 matches in and it's all wins except for 1 draw.

Don't see any scripting stuff anyone's been talking about. I think it's a pretty good game.

Love how it's actually possible to cut inside with wingers who need to cut in to get shots off on their strong foot (Ronaldo, Bale, Robben, Ribery, etc.)
