***OFFICIAL FILA THREAD***

Man, now THAT is the kind of retro I would buy!
Definitely brother, that's my same reaction on a lot of Fila's old stuff.

Tony Campbell wearing the FILA Runball

During his time with the New York Knicks Tony Campbell also wore the FILA Cage & FILA M-Squad models.

i remember those because some chick in a 90 's porno was wearing them in just a red thong lol

damn been looking for that porno all these years was a nineteen video series i think one of the first pornos i ever seen  if only i remembered the volume lol

does Fila have 2 branches where 1 cones out with da retros, and decent modern ****, and da other branch releases da utter crap?

Interesting lol, if I was a one of those porno directors. I would of made a Wet Dreams Kicks edition. That's what I would of called it, have them chicks f*ckin in the most flyest kicks from 90s.

Now getting back to the Muscle Ball model. Hersey Hawkins wore them during his time with the Supersonics. Some may get them mixed up with the FILA Bubbles model, but Hersey Hawkins or other players in the NBA never wore the Bubbles model. Hersey Hawkins played in the Muscle Ball and they might as well label the Muscle Ball as being his own model cause he was most remembered for wearing them.

This is just amazing, being able to see some Classic models from the FILA Museum that's located in Italy.

I swear they really need to retro that Mind Blower model, the one that's sitting on top of the table. That font that they used on that particular model, it's like a Graffiti Handstyle. One of my grails right there, having a Graffiti background myself. That's why I love that model to death.

FILA Magic Line had one of the most dopest and colorful pieces ever and if you was wondering no this has nothing to do with Magic Johnson and his brand from back in the days. It would be nice to see this piece come back out again cause I'm into those vibrant colors, aside from the more toned down colors that I also like and enjoy.

thats a good dodge ray... Fila now is a shell of itself thanks to Fila Korea basically buying da entire brand from its Italian roots and spamming out straight crud.

they gotta go upscale.

Yes, wise decision from Ray, but there's no denying that FILA back in the days was a force to be reckoned with and in the 90s forget about it, they was on top of their game in the sneaker game. They was right there with the other big dogs like Nike, JB, Reebok, Adidas etc. battling it out for the number one spot. You had a numerous of athletes, rappers, celebrities sporting their stuff from the gear to the kicks. Ray Allen actually wore the FILA Muscle Ball on the Slam 96 Rookie Cover. Little by little, they are coming back of course their stuff from their heritage line is.

I don't think Ray really won in the grand scheme of things as he never had a signature under JB - he essentially wore team shoes, inline signatures and retros. With Fila he might've had about 3-4 signatures but we all know he wouldn't be making any royalties or anything due to the brand being borderline defunct presently.

Still it would've been interesting to see the Ray I or Allen II.

My bro @vood99  making some valid points.

FILA right now are taking those baby steps to at least be relevant again. I'm seeing more and more people rocking FILA. The only thing that's missing are still those other sneaker gems from their back catalog: Jamball, Runball, Mind Blower, etc. Man, In the 90s FILA took the sneaker industry by storm.

My man, you've seen the resurgence of Kappa lately. I think with right apparel pieces (jackets, tops, pants), FILA could make some strides in their clothing division then accordingly there could be spillover into their footwear division.
