I think the backlash of releasing all of that music started to become apparent. When I think back to it, when PR dropped, they were STILL playing stuff from DS2 (stick talk, real sisters, etc.) and WATTBA. I can imagine it must've been tough to put new songs in proper proper radio rotation when his previous material was still doing numbers. To this day, it's not uncommon to hear Commas being played in Atlanta on the weekend radio and they're damn sure playing it at least once in the club along with March Madness, Jumpman, Stick Talk, etc.

My best guess is that's why we've gotten this 8 month gap (excluding ET) in releases. Dude's music is still playing catch up because of the flood.

Evol still made it to gold even though it didn't get much radio attention (I don't count that last ditch effort to throw Wicked on there )

IMO Slave Master and Colossal could easily do well on radio and it's been nearly 15 months since they were released.

Fam is on the same label, has a deal with Apple also (dude even has his own radio show) and all we got was a music video for a previous project and a Brian McKnight commercial.

I already know all of that but Travis hasn't consistently dropped music the way Future has, doesn't have the same fanbase and is 10 years younger/less mature as an artist.


He's not dropping 3 #1 albums in a year, look how long it took for him to even put out Birds.


Not only that, he doesn't have near the hit making ability of Future and Apple still got him nice numbers with streams.

We also don't even know what Future's "model" is for his next release so that's a moot point.

I thought you meant by him getting the Apple deal, a "model" was already present (more push & funds for videos and production)

Travis had 2 #1 solo albums in one year (just like Super) by that standard

I know I'm in the minority when I say, Lil Haiti Baby weak in comparison to the rest of Evol. Program and Seven Rings for example just blowing LHB out the water IMO.

LHB isn't that crazy to me, but Program always been the weakest track on the album imo.
