It's been pretty horrible the last 10+ episodes how bad they've gotten. Euron can be anywhere at a moment's notice. Euron's whole fleet was stolen by Yara and Theon, like an episode later he has some huge Navy. The unsullied "stranded" but manage to make it where they need to be at the same time as everyone else. Run back to the wall, send a bird, fly a dragon back, the 6 of us will be here chill vs the 100K no prob. Take the wall down, yet somehow take longer to get to Winterfell than people walking from King's Landing to Winterfell. Ease of shots to kill dragons. 1 miracle shot in 250+ years, we've seen dragons catch weapons 4 of the last 7 episodes......Varys is with the sand snakes this scene, the next he's on a boat with Dany.....wiping out Jon's entire plot line of battling the Night King. We can't afford to have Jon pet his dog. We won't kill Tormund or Sam, we'll just simply have them give Jon a hug as he heads off to another war. Arya parachuting in for the kill.

And people are out here trying to defend these decisions.

They knew the episode was dog**** when writing it so they killed off rhaegal randomly to add a hint of excitement to a lackluster disaster.
It sure felt like the second half of the episode was from a completely different episode or something.

I'm starting to think the season was going to be structured differently before, and some of this weird editing and tonal shifts is due to 11th hour changes.

Screams of studio involvement in a bad way. Damn shame how much this sucks. They need to kill everyone off and make these last two episodes good to avoid a sour taste.

I think is clear what a con these two men were, they rode off with glory from the material George handed them, once on their own, the wheels fell off...this last season is in pure shambles and we holding out hope it’ll end well and it won’t, these cats are not clever writers to come up with a nice way to tie everything in, they simply winged it all bros....the show has been made to a parody of itself....if these are the same dudes that wrote that Wolverine Origins movie, that should tell you all enough about them, they don’t give a ***** about ruining it or writing a story that would insult its fan base, is almost as though is done on purpose, take for example what they did to a character like Deadpool....ohhh he’s a wise cracking fourth breaking nut job, let’s saw his mouth shut and make him BORING as we can..

the real blame needs to fall on GRRM

D&D never signed up to write fan fiction but thats what we've gotten since season 5 onward

to their credit they've giving us some gems (Hardhome, The Door, WoW, BoB) but mostly its been fan service since they lost the source material as a guide/outline.

Right, GRRM absolutely isn't without blame. He had an 8-year head start on the show and planned to have the penultimate book(Winds of Winter) out before the show got to season 5. It never happened. Meanwhile, dude has been releasing novelas and other books.

GRRM is brilliant and his writing is GOAT-level ****. But he carries some of the blame for this **** show.

We can blame George for the plot falling off but not for things plain not making sense. You can from other ships in the water if you are around a corner and blocked from view by land. But how do you hide from aerial view?????
I’m just trying to look at it as the dragons and everyone else is fatigued from the huge battle they just had. So a lot of them are not on their A game and are being caught slipping.....it happens

don’t get me wrong, still love ASOIAF & GoT but the bad taste left from both GRRM along w/D&D is hard to wash out

Them developing 5 spinoffs and 3 actually moving forward seems kinda overkill / too much saturation. It’s like law & order, ncis, csi status.

There are more horrible book to film adaptations than good ones.

Yet some how the show runners are frauds for doing such a good job when they had book material?

How does this make sense?
