Damn near everyone in this thread was a Dany fan back in the earlier seasons. People only started disliking her last season, when she started title dropping non stop and adding "bend the knee" to the end of every discussion I'm too lazy to go back that far myself, but I clearly remember people's reactions in here when she freed the slaves of Astapor and told the Unsullied to use their free will to follow her. It was page after page of

Up to that point, she was making mistakes, but she seemed to listen to people like Barristan Selmy, who told her that she had to earn the respect of the people if she wanted to "break the wheel"
Blame the writers for making her into a crazy woman; this is not what the fans wanted
