The Mountain lost to Oberyn because he poisoned him with the first scratch. Drogo wouldn't use poison. And wouldn't have a horse.

I don't blame him for losing to those two, but I wouldn't put him at the god tier of fighters that the book readers are suggesting he is. Still better than most, but just based on what the show has told/shown us, not at the level of Oberyn, Mountain, two handed Jamie, Bronn, Brienne, etc

He's like 6'9". Two of my sisters college friends grew up with dude in Iceland. Said he used to play pro ball and is the nicest person they ever met.

If it's the mountain in his armor and broad sword vs Drogo, Drogo would be cut in half.

As we saw with Jorah's fight in season 1, Dothraki weapons are basically useless against a man in armor.

Now if they fought without armor and only blades, then I give it to Drogo

Oberyn used a poison tipped spear specifically because the mountain wears that massive armor with few weak points.

from what I've read/heard on those GOT history videos, Rhaegar wasn't a bad warrior at all. He just happened to run into Robert Baratheon in his prime (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just going off others)

I wanna see him throw down. we keep hearing how badass he is but we haven't had a good fight scene with him like we've had with oberyn, the hound, etc.
