I can't feel pity for him. He killed those two young boys and barbecued them because he couldn't find bran and rickon to kill.
I used to feel that way. But after all Ramsay has done to him and now that he helped Sansa escape, I'm starting to have some sympathy for him again.
Idk if I quite feel sympathy for him yet. At some points of the torture scenes I did, but looking at all the events in order, I'm not sure.
He betrayed the house that took him in and the family that raised him.
Varys will do foul and dirty things but he does it for the realm. The good of the realm. He believes everybody running **** are pretenders and aren't good for the realm and wants to put a Targaereyn back on the Iron Throne. Not necessarily. Just because he said what he's doing is for the realm doesn't mean he has noble or honorable motivations.Varys grave was dug when it was revealed he was doing what he does for the realm and not for selfish reasons.
Everybody that has honorable and noble motivations die at some point. Dany better grow that ego this season.
House Baelish continues to prosper
He was the one that hired Ser Friendzone to spy for him and he eventually told Robert about Danny which lead to Robert sending an assassin.
Now he's trying to get Tyrion to help Danny rule. Seems like what he feels is right for the realm changes so he will get people killed when he deems necessary. Not very noble IMO....but his days are numbered. Dragons don't listen to whispers or play politics.
Jon did so much work at Hardhome. Then he returns to Castle Black where all those scumbags are plotting against him for saving all those people. SMH. Hope all those turncloaks have their heads separated from their shoulders.
I suppose in his own mind his intentions are "noble", but as far as the show is concerned I'm not buying the putting a Targ on the throne is good for the realm motive. He was in on the Danny assassination plot and no way did he know Ser Friendzone was gonna stop him. Besides the only reason we the viewers think his intentions are noble is because he...Varys...The Spider....said so. If GoT has taught us anything it's don't trust anyone.Varys will do foul and dirty things but he does it for the realm. The good of the realm. I didn't say he was a honorable or noble dude. I said he had honorable and noble motivations. In his mind, everything he's doing is to protect the common ppl like those in Flea Bottom.
Robb had noble and justified intentions, died.
Stannis was 100% in the right as far as succession to throne goes, died.
Ned was in the right, died.
And on and on and on. Varys gonna get his and Littlefinger gonna show him how to climb in the end
I also want a few of them to get their throats ripped out by Ghost.
I pity him because he did all this for a Father that doesn't give two F*'s about him. He wanted to be loved by his birth father, when all along Ned Stark was REAL father. Theon's story is heartbreaking.
Exactly how I feel, dude loves the Starks, he knows that's his family but he wanted to prove himself to his birth dad...he was just caught up in a ***** position and has paid a greater price than most....death would have been kinder than the **** dude has endure, mutilation and the mental rape dude has gone through :x I really hope he's the one to end Ramsey.
With the way GRRM does things, don't be surprised if ultimately the rest of the Starks dieThe difference between Varys and everyone else you listed is... They don't know how to play the game.
In the end I do believe Varys and Littlefinger will die. Littlefinger with get it like
Mike from BB. He's going to underestimate someone (probably Sansa) and it will be his downfall

I could see that ending for Littlefinger though.
word. i couldn't care less about theon...i actually want him to die too...anyone that crosses the starks i want to die.Theon can get flayed for all I care

I could see that ending for Littlefinger though. That's only if the truth comes out (he's a big part this all started, he betrayed Ned, etc.).
Yeah but context matters. You can't just bring up the don't trust anyone he might be lying when convenient. He made his intentions very clear to Littlefinger and Baelish did the same. They both are aiming for similar goals but for different reasons.I suppose in his own mind his intentions are "noble", but as far as the show is concerned I'm not buying the putting a Targ on the throne is good for the realm motive.
