Any solid S5 recap videos out there to watch? I know where things stand but I could always use a refresher come Sunday afternoon.

I'll concede for know and say maybe Varys doesn't have any other motive other than putting Danny on the throne and doing whats best for the realm but I'll post a couple articles that will explain where I'm coming from in regard to not trusting the Spider.

Don't worry. No books spoilers here.

Yeah Ollie can die a thousand deaths for all I care, anyone who crosses the Snow Gawd can be thrown off the top of the wall.

I think this is the first time I've ever agreed with Steezy tbh.

Ollie can off himself, into a herd of white walkers, who decide to take their sweet little time with him, and I wouldn't blink an eye. Little ***** deserves it.

The kid saw his parents and his whole tribe get flayed, killed and the women probably taken advantage of. There's no reasoning with him its either you're with him or against him. hes still a little ___ still for conspiring against Jon

I said what I had to say.

Littlefinger and Varys eloquently describe their motives a bit in that scene. Petyr a bit more than Varys but subsequent Varys scenes all connect to the sentiment he expressed in that scene and things he's gone on to say to Tyrion.

If you account for Varys eunuch origin story and his beginnings it all comes together quite well.

I figured thats what you were referring to and in that clip all he says is "what i did was for the good of the realm." Which in that case was stopping Littlefinger he never said what his motive was to him. He only told Tyrion about Danny and Tyrion could very well be a puppet for Varys. I dont think Varys wants to see Westeros descend into chaos which is what he thinks littlefinger wants so he stopped him.

Also Varys's back story actually raises more questions about his motives. Not quite sure how you see it help your point. He was a slave turned unic in the free cities. He resorted to crime and scheming to get to where he is to save a realm he isn't from?

Hey man, I can't help it if you're that paranoid about Varys being untrustworthy that you can't accept his motivations when clearly stated in a candid discussion. According to you we're 6 seasons in and the audience has no clue or can't be sure about why Varys does what he does but we somehow know Littlefinger's.

W/e to that. No story teller is that sloppy with established characters that are key to the plot.

BTW, who sits on the Iron throne is protector of all realms. Not just one. They constantly repeat that when they say that long title.

Gotta figure out who's betting on if the Snow God will return or not

That's going to be a landslide in favor of yes. The better poll may be about exactly what episode he'll come back in.

Or another possibility is - what major character is going to die this season. Since we're beyond the books now, its anyone's guess.

Renly would've been the best King ..and would've prob easily taken Kings Landing

Stannis smh
:x :rollin

You bugging. This worse than that Sansa would be a better leader than Dany.

Jon as King>>>
Jon don't want those problems.

As far as I see things, to be king you need to be able to be a capable fighter like Jamie/Stannis/Oberyn/etc. and have the sharp mind for strategy and manipulation like Tywin/Tyrion/Littlefinger/Varys. If you lack in one of those areas you need to have a right hand man that is loyal and the best in that area to make up for what you lack.

Being good, commanding respect and loyalty don't mean ****. Good doesn't always persevere and morale can always be broken to destroy loyalty; see the Night's Watch and the several betrayals they went through or how Robb got screwed.

Jon is lacking in several areas. Already got betrayed. Couldn't keep loyalty or the respect he earned. Son rose to the top too fast and crashed even faster. Jon wouldn't be ready to be king. Before his death he was in a weaker position than Robb. Plus I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want that responsibility after the NW.

Fine man. I thin there's more to Varys and you don't. If you would like, check out these two articles and maybe you'll see where I'm coming from. If you've read the books, check out the video I posted in the book thread.

And no the King is the protector of the realm. Just one not plural. The seven kingdoms are all part of one realm.

At this point in the story, Salsa would at least listen to advice instead of that dumbass dany.

I didn't say there wasn't more to Varys and I definitely don't think that. What I did say can't be clearer than already stated though.

She'd be manipulated but Dany has listened to her advisors in the past when she was new to ****.

She just stopped when she thought she was right. If she didn't at all Varys and Tyrion would never want to work with her and she wouldn't have ever accepted them.

Stannis smh
He would have been a weak king. There's a great quote in the books about the Baratheon brothers:

"Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. He'll break before he bends. And Renly, that one, he's copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day"

He must've voted for Loras.

After reading his chapters I came away thinking he would've been the best imo ..dude was well respected and generally loved. Y'all see how hard Brienne went for him :lol

best ep 9?
S1 - Baelor - Ned's execution
S2 - Blackwater - Battle of Blackwater Bay
S3 - The Rains of Castamere - Red Wedding
S4 - Watchers on the Wall - Wildling assault on Castle Black
S5 - The Dance of Dragons - Dany takes off on Drogon

For the 4th and 5th seasons, episode 8 seems to be the better episode (at least IMO):

S4 - The Mountain and The Viper - Missandei bathing, Mountain v. Red Viper
S5 - Hardhome - army of wights, Jon Snow defeating a White Walker, Night's King

Been watching so many cast interviews on youtube. Carice Van Houten bae always talking about she wants to know in advance when she's going to have nude scenes so she can go to the gym. She don't need no gym time. Those perfect nips don't need gym time either.

I didn't realize Sophie Turnrr is already 20. Damn that girl is gorgeous.

All the black people are in the Summer Isles. Show nor Book has been there. I'm guess all the black people saw the mess everywhere else and just stayed there
