Damn,

The times they didn't have anything available, usually on busy weekends, they would give me the $20 back. When I'm checking in, I always try to get a female.

Just booked my Vegas trip, going out there July 3-6th. I'm staying at the Cosmo and got a terrace studio for $750, 2 people, 3 nights, from hotels.com . If you use coupon code Summer13 it takes 20% off your total price. Havent been to vegas in years, hopefully I can make the most of it :smokin . Time to read up on this thread.

So, whats poppin for 4th of July weekend my people? Anything good?

It's Red, White and BOOM week.

Make it out to Desert Breeze Park, it's a huge park to firework shows. Also the station casinos is dope (Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock Resort)

I think that was a rare occurrence. Might not always work, but you usually get the $20 back

How is the success rate @ the Paris & how is that place anyways?

There used to be a website that had the percentages of the tip trick. Either way, low or high... just try it. You SHOULD get that dub back. I've always gotten mine back if there weren't any upgrades available.

as far as Paris itself? Great casino. A little more towards the older-folks, but wifey and I like it cause it sits right in the center of the Strip. Ambiance is real mellow and their buffet is really good, no one ever talks about it.

Can anyone clarify if the $20 trick is to skip the line at clubs or simply to get a better admission price?

Or am I missing something and this trick refers to getting an upgrade at Hotels?

Sorry for noob question!

It's a known method in Vegas of trying to upgrade your hotel room.

Landing in Vegas on Wednesday night, no plan for that day so I'll probably just wing it. As for the rest of the weekend:
Thursday: w&w @mdc, Tommy Trash @hak
Friday: ingrosso @light
Saturday: tiesto @wet republic, kaskade @marquee

Tommy Trash, Tiesto, and deadmau5 will be alternating at wet republic and hakkasan
A&B will be at XS one of the days
A-Trak will be at light on Saturday
Eric Prydz is going to be at Surrender I think

"$20" trick is strictly for checking in at your hotel.

Golden hand shakes though, will take you a long way,

Spend 500 on Sat for a daybed, Sun I get a free one.

Damn that's legit. My group decided to go a diff route last time I wet back in March so I couldn't use him but I appreciate the contact info man. Spoke to him again about next Friday and he threw me a pretty solid deal with a "firm" handshake. Probably going to go with him this time around. Really cool dude.

What was ur offer? PM if u need to.

Since I booked through hotels.com and not directly thru the hotel, will the check in /$20 and ask for available upgrade tip still work?

I am now wishing I got a better room, so I am thinking about handing a $100 to check in receptionist to see what happens. Any experiences with anyone when booking from a third party ? :nerd:

Not sure if your willing to cancel your reservation with Hotels.com but if you're staying at the Cosmo heres a tip.  This goes for anyone who wants to stay at the Cosmo.

The Cosmopolitan is a Marriott property.  You can book directly through Marriott.com

Marriott does a "Best Rate Guarantee" price match + 25% off your total stay.

Book the room through Marriott.com and then fill out a claim form. Showing you found a better rate through Expedia.com Hotels.com etc.  Marriott usually gets back to you within 24 hours and price match your rate + and additional 25% off.

Exact words from the Marriott.com website

"1) Make a reservation through any Marriott reservation channel (in other words, through one of the Marriott Web sites, by calling our reservations centers, or a property directly).

2) The Marriott rate and the "Comparison Rate" must be found, and a completed Claim Form  submitted, within 24 hours and must be for the same hotel, room type and reservation dates. All claims must be submitted at least 24 hours before check-in time.

3) If the lower rate you found qualifies, we will adjust your room rate to reflect the lower rate, and give an additional 25% off that lower rate. For example: Reserve a room with Marriott for $100. If you find a lower rate for $80 and submit a valid claim, the new rate will be $60. [$80 - ($80 x 25%) = $60]. (Subject to terms and conditions)."

My buddies and I have been doing this every time we stay at the Cosmo.  If you have any questions just let me know.

That Cosmo deal is really hit and miss now (mostly miss). Marriott got hip to it. People were getting wraparounds for like $150/night lol.

So the NT Summit is booked.

July 13th and 14.

Sat. day will be at Tao Beach
Sat night will be at Tao
Sat day at Tao Beach
Sun. night at XS

Suite at Palazzo

I booked my room thru hotels.com 2 days ago. According to the literature, the "comparison" room needs to be found and booked within 24 hours of booking thru marriot.com . Right? This is a good tip regardless man, thanks! I don't know if I'm just being greedy or what not, but I have a king terrace studio at the cosmo, 3 nights for $756. I think thats a good deal for some reason
