Official "Going to Vegas in..." Vol. II "It was time"

if they were, they usually close on Labor Day weekend no? or you mean just like regular hotel pools, AFAIK those are open for guests with precautions
I was thinking dayclubs, but even hotel pools. Vegas isn’t fun between march-september without pools

I'm pretty sure pool party/day club season is Memorial Day to Labor Day, but that's not my thing lol so I'm not 100%

Pools open a few weeks before MDW, but they generally end the pool parties around LDW from what I’ve seen.

You can only get into like 3 pools (EBC, Liquid, Wet Republic) right now and that's only if you reserve a cabana or daybed or if you're a hotel guest I think. Went out there a couple weeks ago and it's like 40-50% usual summer capacity out there but I did see a post earlier with hella cars on the 15 headed into Vegas. I'd be interested to see what exactly was open for the holiday weekend.

The crowd coming into vegas is bad, since the rates are low. That's why you see a fight at encore. I live in Vegas and avoid going to the strip now.

If you want to hit up the pools: like MVP MVP mentioned reservations only. Marquee is open as well

Lounges is: kuma karaoke lounge, XS, Marquee, top golf, barbershop at cosmo off the top of my head which all require reservations

Not the vegas experience only if you want to relax

Vegas was cool.
Hotels are really cheap. I paid $100 a night for Paris.
Pool parties are at half capacity and only if you get a table/cabana. Clubs are closed/ Bars are closed
i chilled at the pool in my hotel. Went out to eat At the nicer restaurant . Walked and drank down the strip. Did some shopping
It was fun overall.

Thinking about going to Vegas for Haloween.

Would be my first time there.

Is it worth it or naw?

Pre covid, absolutely.
Now, probably not.

Options will probably continue to be limited to what you can do. Feel like this year house parties are about all you can do.

Thinking about going out there in two weeks. Heard about the crowds lately due to the low rates, along with the Wynn fight. Going to get a room at Vdara or Aria and probably just chill there for a few days with some friends. We probably won't even go anywhere and just stay low key. Just going to enjoy being out of California for a bit before potentially going back to work in October.

can anyone put me on to how to take advantage of the apps best?

Sitting on about 500k coins in myvegas ive never touched. Going back in July

Did you ever get to use anything in July? I've got 4 million in coins. I know it's been hard to use them lately due to Covid since the blackout calendars all messed up.

Literally in DC airport going back home to Atlanta and still reminiscing about my Vegas trip. It’s been too long since I’ve been back....the sequel is coming.

Making my triumphant return in a couple weeks. Staying at Encore. It's about to be weird. After the brawl, apparently the Wynn has banned all non-guests from its properties indefinitely. Gonna be real quiet in there lol. Fine by me, gonna lounge at the pool all day.

Yooo. Anybody stayed at the Linq Hotel. Price is WILD cheap right now. let me know if its a decent hotel.

It's decent. Don't expect much from it. They didn't change too much when it was the OG Imperial Palace/The Quad rooms. Major changes was only done to the casino.

I'll be out there in two weeks. Will either be at the Vdara or Aria.

Use to go to circus circus a lot as a kid all the way until I was grown. I didnt realize how trash that surrounding area was once you walk the strip towards the Circus Circus area.

I'm thinking about Vegas for my halloween birthday, The Cosmopolitan, stayed there 6 years ago and loved it. Turning 42 so never clubs or pool parties for me. Assuming the shows are shut down too?...comedy shows?
I'm fine with renting a convertible and hiting the red rock desert and shooting some guns at the range.

Circus Circus was part of the move towards Vegas being family oriented in the '90s. I don't know how old you are, but I remember so many friends talking about Circus Circus, because their parents would go gamble, and let their kids loose in there. It was all self contained.

Vegas completely abandoned the "family" vibe in the 2000s with the "What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas" thing, and over the last decade it's been "show your friends what you did in Vegas so they will want to come as well". Three very distinct eras over three decades.
