Man, I hope so.

You have no idea how steamed I was after the loss last night.  Usually sports don't get to me like this, but it was different.  Woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and I was still thinking about the loss....couldn't listen to the radio in my car this mornign going to work, because I was still PO'd.  I'm OK with it now JUST because the series isn't over.  We've come back from a 3-1 hole to the Rangers before, so it's not totally out of the realm of possibility that they win tomorrow and force a game 7.

That loss last night was rock bottom.  Only way to go is up.  I expect them to come out on fire tomorrow night.  I'm confident we're going 7 games in this series.

Are you watching the same games as the rest of us? This is definitely going 7 & with that said I'm pulling for the Caps to take game 7 as well.

Watching DC sports all of my life....you become numb to losses like that last night.  It never suprises you when the unthinkable happens.  Our local teams have brough little joy in the last 20 years.

Isn't that the truth

If that's directed at me as one of those people, I've been a Rangers fan my whole life.  I don't know that I've ever seen a Rangers specific thread so I never really posted and aside from college football, I don't really participate in overall league threads.  I don't really care what other teams are doing.

That doesn't really affect me, I'm just explaining in case you assumed I'm a bandwagoner which it appears.  I don't need to join an e-team or anything.

Yep, unlike some people, I'm a diehard fan of my teams.

Youre act is tired

I like the bandwagon. Hockey heads complain about nobody watching. Then half the people in the biggest mararket watches and the talk shows talk about it and pople are upset about that?

No one is upset and no one complains in here about nobody watching. Ratings always skyrocket this time of year, especially in the first and second rounds. Just an observation.

And no one pays attention to Cosmic this time of year

No worries, I wasn't offended...just explaining for myself.  I mean, it does seem coincidental that you post it after myself (and I don't know who else) posted so that's why I responded.

Hockey getting some love and recognition in L.A. is refreshing.
Don't mind the bandwagon jumping from people at all, what bothers me is that people don't notice you have been a fan for a while, until your team is winning, and then have the audacity to ask you, "oh you're a fan too"

I personally don't mind the wave of casual or bandwagon fans until they start running their mouths. It's cool to support a team, but if you're not a knowledgeable fan, don't talk mess.

This is a pet peeve of mine, especially from females.

my view as well.   regarding the new kings fans around here,  i really don't see it as a big deal as they are the home team,  it's different then people jumping on some bandwagon like the miami heat or something like that when they don't live in that city or have no ties to that city.

the way hockey is poorly marketed i could see how the casual sports fan would be reluctant to get into hockey as the nhl does a horrible job marketing it's product and players compared to leagues like the nba and nhl.  that said don't act like you've been following the team for years and are knowledgable.

im tempted to pull the trigger on this white dustin brown authentic on the nhl shop website but the price even after coupon codes is pretty hurtful.
who knows if the kings beat phoenix and i get a few drinks in me and think less rational i'll pull the trigger on it

i'm curious to see how the capitals recover in game 6,  that's a defenite painful way to lose right there.

Hockey needs as many fans as possible. Bandwagon, new, not knowledgable, doesn't matter. Get hockey back to where it once was. I go back and forth on whether that loss will motivate or kill the Caps. Guess we will see

I'm hoping for LA v NYR personally, think it'd be a cool matchup

I never understood this, been like that for years.
At least hockey fan base will be on the rise again in the sun belt region.

Also, get the jersey man.  I love the away jerseys, but I would kill myself if I ever spilled something on it, so I always stick to the black or purple jerseys.

Avoid buying any jerseys from NHL shop. Their customizations are TERRIBLE. Hockeymonkey, IceJerseys, and Sportsk are all ten times better. HM even has authentics w/ stitched name/numbers for $199.

thanks for the heads up, if anything, i'll just buy the blank since their the only site i've seen that has the newer road authentics and send it to exclusive pro sports since their custom work is top notch.

i got a black dustin brown on ebay for a reasonable price because it had a flaw on the logo but it was nothin serious at all.

kings rangers would be a fun series but i don't want to get to far ahead of things,  phoenix's goalie has been playing solid hockey and it's going to be tough to score on him.  i want the caps rangers and devils flyers series so the conference finals can start already.
