It's not like we need them to have big roles.   Stoll and Greene have been more than productive in their time here though.

Bruce Boudreau was singing the praises of Mathew Dumba....

just watched his highlights

*I'll post the other vid I saw in a little bit

^He's going to be an absolute stud in the league.........Captained our Gold Winning U-18 squad this past month and put up 2 goals and 1 assist in 5 games. Can't wait to see how he develops in the coming years.

True. Throw Smyth in there too.

I would have, if he didn't want out.

He has my respect though, he plays the game the way it's supposed to be played.

Honestly, I see why he's compared to Phaneuf....

W. the Caps having the Avs pick, I'm getting real excited about the possibility of picking in the top-5 in 2012.  Got my eyes set on Yakupov, but Dumba wouldn't be a bad consolation.

*JSJ shouldn't listen to this....

I'm sure this is BS, but damn....

penner for 30 goals is a stretch IMO, i dont see him playin on kopis PP unit but who knows he could suprise me... got em pegged for around 25 myself

beginning to look at guys for fantasy alrdy hahah

i think he can hit 30 this year. he has the ability especially if he actually used his fatass size. and he did hit 32 2 years ago playing with the 1st line offensive juggernaut only known as, shawn horcoff
sick.gif

that being said, im putting him on my "do not draft" list myself

Penner has dropped some lbs., so he might get to 20 to mid 20's, but I don't see him scoring 30, he will probably be alongside Kopi on the same line though, but not on PP.

As far as Moreau as captain, fat chance IMO. Brownie has earned the respect in that locker room, and you don't wanna mess up that chemistry.

Still can't believe Doughty is still unsigned, what the hell??

I don't why it hit me harder today that I miss hockey. Training camp can't come any sooner.

FB, is that Kershaw in your avy, or are my eyes deceiving me??

Your eyes don't deceive you, I am a big fan of Clayton(even if he is a Cardinals killer). I don't dislike the Dodgers at all, afterall I am a Los Angeleno. I will always be a Cardinals fan first though.

Cool.  He's one of our only bright spots of the season, along with Kemp.

I am calling horse @%*$ on this one Double, no way The Kid is hanging em up.

FB....u know what else is also fueling these rumors?  The fact that Sidney Crosby has not made any sort of statement. Him speaking on his current state would shut a lot of folks up. I'm 99.9% sure that it's BS. However, everyone is speaking for Crosby....but Crosby. Speculation adds fuel to the fire.

I call BS.........if this is as severe as it seems, he should just write off this upcoming season and see where he's at next summer.

He has all the natural skill in the world, that if he were to take a year off, it wouldn't effect him like it would other guys who aren't as lucky as he is (to have the skill he does). He can always work on his conditioning etc........1 year off won't hurt him that much in terms of being 1 of the best players, I'm sure he would pick things up quite quickly next summer.

DJ's, speaking of Yakupov.........this is at the BioSteel camp this week, that goalie is Malcolm Subban by the way.

interesting stuff on sid...would be a shame, but i don't see it happening without him at least trying to get back out there

LOWELL, Mass. -- Boston Bruins winger Nathan Horton was at LaLacheur Park Wednesday night to take part in the second annual Milan Lucic Rock and Jock Celebrity softball game. But the good news for Bruins fans is that Horton told the media prior to the game that he is symptom-free from the concussion he suffered in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals in June.

Horton, who was knocked out of that game and the series by a first-period hit from Canucks defenseman Aaron Rome, said he has been symptom-free for most of the summer and is now working out in preparation for the season. He has not skated yet.

"I feel pretty good. I don't have any headaches. I'm back to normal and I'm excited to start playing again," Horton said. "It just takes some time and we had a little time to take off and I just feel like myself. I can't really tell you the timetable but it was really quick and I feel good."

Horton still doesn't feel too good about Rome, though. When asked if the Vancouver blueliner ever reached out to him, he responded: "If it was me, I wouldn't have thrown a text message someone's way. I'd have a little bit more respect to actually make a phone call."

He said there should be more respect among players especially when considering hits to the head, such as the one that sidelined Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and the one Horton himself sustained.

"Definitely those kind of hits I think," Horton said when asked if the hit he took from Rome should make players, fans and the league do more to rid the game of such violence. "Players hit hard, they hurt people and I think that they do it within the game and you just know to have that respect factor when you hit people.

"The people that don't understand that or don't get it, I think that that's what you need to fix and you need to change. That's the difference between hitting hard and hitting dirty and that's definitely something that shouldn't be in the game."

Horton admitted he wasn't completely up to date on Crosby but feels very fortunate not to be going through post-concussion symptoms like Crosby.

"I have been a little bit, I'm not really sure exactly but I know he's still having troubles," Horton said. "But yeah, (I'm) real lucky. Concussions are not fun and to have to battle that, it's tough. I'm fortunate to feel pretty good and not have any setbacks."

hopefully things stays this way...

He's definitely not helping matters by staying quite on the matter, but I have noticed that's how he is for the most part. Not a fan of the Pens, but I like watching a healthy Sid play. As much hate as he receives from all other fan bases, he is a phenom and amazing to watch.
