Official HTC Thread Vol. Scribe, Thunderbolt 4G, Evo Shift 4G, Inspire 4G for AT&T

Belefonte has posted some benchmarks taken from the HTC Leo and its clear the device is a generation ahead of our current devices.

Movie watchers should be happy with this CorePlayer result:

Matrix Trailers Results : RL_XQ_640×480_1500_128.avi 1.62 Mb/sec
HTC Touch HD HTC Leo
Bit rate achieved 1.32 Mb/sec 3.77 Mb/sec
% frame rate 82% 233%

There is not a single 3D benchmark which is less then 300% more than the HTC Touch HD, making the device is clear successor to its large screened ancestor.
HTC Touch HD HTC Leo Improvement
alpha texture (128×256 rgba) 30340 kPixels/s 140125 kPixels/s 362%
torus (3k triangles) one light 6272 kPixels/s 120564 kPixels/s 1822%

sub texture (128×128 15×15) 10762 kPixels/s 112983 kPixels/s 950%

Even in terms of the OpenGL standard supported, the Snapdragon powered device is head and shoulders above the HTC Touch HD.

It is great!
Sometimes you gotta give the ROM some time to fully optimize.
But yea it's so much better than the stock, faster, more memory etc
Truth. I wish there was some way to increase the RAM in these phones

HTC always short changin imo, but nonetheless, I got the Twitter tabworkin along w/ everything. Still aint try the Waze out, keep forgettin since I don't be need directions

how hard is it to flash if u dont know that much about it?... and i heard you can screw your phone up if u dont do it right u gotta back up your files n suchwith Sync

It's not THAT hard perse, XDA has a great tutorial for preparin your phone for the flash like usin PIM backup to back up contacts, msgs, etc.

This was my first flash and as soon as there is another ROM available from the same developer, I'm on it. It works so well that when i get some money in myaccount I'll donate some money to him

New Verizon HTC Imagio Pics Leaked
Posted by CJ Lippstreu
Monday, September 28th at 06:31 PM

Verizon subscribers, who have decided to pass on the Touch Pro2, may be interested in some new images of the HTC Imagio, formerly known as the Whitestone. The pics, obtained by PhoneArena, show not only the front, but also the back of the phone, which sports a retractable kickstand to make viewing media more enjoyable.

The HTC Imagio XV6975, what seems to be a hybrid of the Diamond2 and Touch HD, is rumored to launch on Oct. 6, along with Windows Mobile 6.5 and Marketplace. The World phone supposedly runs on a Qualcomm 7600 (528Mhz) processor, has 512MB ROM/256MB RAM, boasts a 3.6" WVGA display and is equipped with a 5MP auto-focus camera (no flash). The device will also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, in case there was still any doubt. The media button on the bottom row of hard keys is said to open Verizon's VCast MobileTV. No word on pricing or a confirmed date yet, but PhoneArena says they're hearing it will be out in the first half of October. Let's hope that still means Oct. 6. If you're itching for more images, check out diagrams of the front & back of the device.

Yea I think as of now Twikini is the best.
Pocketwits isn't bad at all.
Motweets is ok but the free version comes with ads.

I feel u. I flashed mine so I'm completely happy w/ it. It's a lil buggy b/c the Manila 2.5 is a beta but other than that, I like it. Ijust think WinMo is more convenient. I've never had an Android phone so I don't know how good it is as far as programs i.e. WinMo Office, etc butI'm sure it aint bad. Not to mention I need a physical keyboard

The AT&T Pure Start Menu
Posted by Brandon Miniman
Saturday, October 3rd at 02:24 PM

We just got a photo of the AT&T Pure which gives us a glimpse at the Start menu. The layout of icons is in a four-icon-wide grid, instead of three-icon layout we've been seeing on other Windows Mobile 6.5 devices. Also of note is that we see an app called AppCenter, which seems to be a proprietary AT&T app store for applications that run on Java.

Thanks for the photo, JB.
Get a T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 ... for FREE
We've seen the major U.S. carriers locked in a bit of a pricing war over the latest HTC phones. T-Mobile has fired the latest salvo, offering up the HTC Touch Pro 2 for free.

"But, Phil," you say, "this must be some kind of scam! They must be crazy!" It's not, and they are, but whatever. This is part of that WMDeals Web site, and it's indeed legit. So if you've been holding off on that T-Mo Touch Pro 2, you really don't have any more excuses. Just follow the instructions above.

Tragedy - No 3.5 mm headphone jack on the AT&T HTC Pure
October 3rd, 2009 | Author: admin

MobilityDigest has published some more pictures of the HTC Pure. Besides confirming that the device runs Windows Mobile 6.5 and TouchFlo3D 2.1, they unfortunately also confirmed the device does not sport a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

This would seem to be a real disadvantage for a device that is so consumer focussed, and certainly prevents it from competing with similarly specified devices on AT&T.

MobilityDigest also note the device sports 5 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time, and speculate a October 4th launch day.

Read more at MobilityDigest here.

How much does it cost to flash it

I'm so pissed that they offerin the TP2 for free when I dropped $350 on it. Tmo should credit their customers who already copped.

What ROM did you flash and can you elaborate on the bugs? Does it support landscape mode on all of the screens? I got this auto rotate programthat works great and is really convenient.

I've been contemplating flashing for the past few weeks but in all honesty, the stock rom with some minor registry tweaks is gettin the job done for me. Manila 2.5 looks SOOO tempting though.
