Got my HTC Touch pro 2 for FREE last friday!

(UK line FTW). Very nicephone but screen wobbles when its tilted so i returned it for exchange ( some TP2 got less wobble) i cant wait to get the new one back... xda-developers is onquick launch tab

It's only a matter of time before there is, I haven't even checked yet so there might be something out now. The MyTouch is pretty much a keyboardlessG1. Holla posted a vid of the TP2 youtube quality killing the G1's youtube quality. But you should def try it WinMo 6.5 is good and I really can't waitfor WinMo7

is it coming with that out the box? 6.5? or do i have to wait? how do these windows joints interact with a mac so well? On another note do u think there willbe a flash to point android on it and did u find out if the app store works on it if it was flashed

No it comes w/ WinMo 6.1 but u get the 6.5 upgrade as soon as it becomes available; sort of a "perk" if u must.

I'm pretty sure there will be an Android flash for it. That's what I'm waitin for unless WinMo7 comes out really soon as in before Q4 ends

Some companies are pushing it back like Sprint so it comes with WM6.5 . Even with Android you can still go back to w/e WM, I believe all Android flashes arerooted from the sd card and pretty much run as an app, I guess like a dual boot.

The appstore that's on the G1 does not work on this, but there are a few third party ones that DO.

Yes, you could, but there are still limitations. I'll highlight those in my next videos.

That was 6 months ago so I'm not sure if things have changed or maybe on the TP2 they will be different and with that current build you can access it but there also is the third party

Verizon Diamond 2, HTC Mega and more Tachi

Well look what dropped in our mailbox. Some images and deets on the upcoming Verizon Diamond 2 (aka 'Whitestone' aka XV6975), the HTC Mega and a bit ofan update to the Tachi image.

First up is the Verizon Diamond 2/Whitestone device, picture above. We're hearing a Sept/October release window is the goal for Big Red. The specs will beas follow:

* WM6.1 (no WM6.5 on launch?)
* Qualcomm 7600 @ 528MHz
* 512MB ROM/256MB RAM
* 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen
* 5-megapixel autofocus camera/Anti-handshaking
* gpsOne (aGPS and full GPS)
* GSM/CDMA World phone

We have to say that although the body of the Diamond 2 here looks a bit ... different ... those are some killer specs for a non-keyboard device. Kudos to you,Verizon, with this and the Ozone.

HTC Mega

Up till now, not too much has been known about the HTC Mega outside of having some new TouchFlo 2D goodness and low-range specs. First, to the right you cansee what she'll actually look like for the first time. Next, here are the numbers:

* WM6.5
* Qualcomm 7225@ 528 MHz
* 256MB ROM/256MB RAM
* 2.8-inch QVGA (240x320)
* GSM/GPRS Edge/HSDPA
* 3-megapixel fixed-focus camera
* gpsOne

Certainly not earth-shattering by any means, but this device is obviously to fill the low-end of the market. Still, not too shabby for the bottom these days.

Finally, though we're not expecting the Tachi here in the U.S., this pic is every so slightly updated from the previous version. Mostly the center d-padarea is less

I really want this phone , but I don't wanna pay full price so its either cancel my current flexpay plan, or is it possible to upgrade to a regular plan?

I have t-mobile I'm not due for a upgrade til next year, but I just checked my account and it said I can get the mytouch for $300, I'm willing to pay$350-400 for this phone

When I got my Tilt brand new it was $300 + rebate with a new contract.
I don't feel like getting a new number, my contract is up in March. Hopefully by then the Tp2 price will be decent

I said i wasnt gonna do it but i upgraded to the MyTouch from the G1 but im really not remorseful anymore. The common problems with the G1 are now resolved onthe MT3G, battery life is 10x's better... with moderate use i havent charged my phone since Thursday night. Phone is much faster... waaayyyyyy more memory,10apps already and i still have like 210mb of space. Virtual Keyboard on this phone = God. texting and writing messages is so much faster... they really did agood job with the predictive text


And what i love most of all. Its so light!!! You can't even feel when its in your pocket compared to the G1 where u got a brick in your pocket.

Think i might rock with this phone for a good year or 2, only thing i wish they would have upgraded the cam to atleast a 3.2 or a better Video recorder.

Yea, I still have my Tilt too. I'm on my second one though. It was working fine until earlier this week when I raninto a shopping cart and cracked the screen. Now my touchscreen is all messed up but I still can use the D-pad.

Waiting on the TP2 to drop for AT&T. My contract is up in Oct but they told me I can go ahead and get an upgrade anytime before then. Was VERYYY tempted toget that free Bold from Walmart but I'll wait...

Have yet toi mess with the tmobile tp2, might have to the store to peep it. Def a must cop when it drops on sprint, hopefully it comes with the 3mm headphonejack like verizon.

I really like what he did with it, I really only mess with his ROM's, I've tried out maybe 2 other developers. Hopefully he gets the Touch Pro 2 haha,I think he has the Diamond 2 as of now. I like the Mega Manilla 2D and the notification manager. I think he took out Opera Mobile and left only IE8.Doesn't matter since I use Skyfire but I want to try Opera 9.7

Chico sucks that the screen got all messed up. I know someone else who has the Tilt and it recently broke, I think they dropped or something, dont exactlyremember.

Also I have Dorthoy Browser beta, haven't checked it out yet. He included Microsoft Tag. And if you have WM6.5 I'm sure you are are of MyPhone.

I really like 6.5 so far, I'm glad to see Microsoft is putting some effort into their mobile section, it's about time though.
