Proto - when you first started posting wit you old sn...it looked like the laces were strangling the tongue to make it come out for that look you aim for...seems a bit more relaxed now
Cris - i missed a pair of those same 06 id's in my size...they went for cheap too

Mayhemgatz: yeah, well i realized i was lacing a bit too tight, cuz it was creasing the tongue a lil' bit. i hit them with a mini steam iron and all the creases went away, so i just lace looser to avoid it now... plus lacing looser makes shoes look more "chunky", and that chunky look is what i used to like about skate shoes (plus i got big feet so it makes 'em look wider and therefore not as long).
lacing looser is about the only real influence this forum has had on me tho. i have no problem changing something if i like the way something else looks better. everything else i'm sticking to my guns on tho...
