the heats point guards both scored more than the knicks guards that night

and you make it sound like they gave him the derrick rose treatment from the ECF last year

it was just mario chalmers, and norris cole (a rookie) guarding him

The Heat have the best help defenders in the league in Wade, Bron and Anthony...and how many of those points came in transition off turnovers or were assisted by Wade and Bron? Lin got consumed by the moment, yea, but he was in the weeds with Fields who can't shoot or dribble next to him. Things'll be different when he can keep his head, have Shumpert next to him and find the right balance of Melo initiating the offense.

That was the best defense in the NBA and Heat has best record in the East and in NBA (tied OKC thunder). Give the Knicks a few more games and they can get it together. Good point guards develop and become better players. For Lin, that's adapting to better defense, double teams, smaller air space, playing with melo, building more energy to play 38+minutes and playing better defense himself.

agreed. anyone who has bad performance = exposed .   someone gets shut down for one game = exposed.

imagine if the Internetz were this robust during the MJ era.

bad MJ game = exposed.

the knicks point guards went 1-18. saying the heat's pg's scored more than them means nothing.

so what teams should "count"? for future reference.

heat
celtics
okc
mavs
utah
bulls

is that all?

thing is they didnt use much help defense on him... and majority of the turnovers was because of him... he will only get better by playing teams and guards who will put the pressure on him... he gotta face the likes of a cp3, a derrick rose, a westbrook etc.... his level not going to increase by going against a rubio and the wolves etc... you only get good better by playing players/teams that are better.

yes good great teams.... you dont get better by being gaurded by fisher. its like anything anyone else... if cp3 only played good against the wolves, the hornets, the cavs etc... and then sucked against like okc, the bulls etc.... no one would be saying he is a elite/great player.... if jordan didnt go out and beat the best of the best and the likes of bird magic etc... we wouldnt have called him great/greatest

why do you for some reason think lin is some special case? no one has ever been a called a good/great player unless they played great/good against good/great players teams... why should lin be any different?

i think its a special case because an undrafted guy who was cut by 2 teams, has been given the daunting task of making the team in the biggest market in america contenders.

the simple fact is amare and melo were losing to those terrible teams without lin.

Stephen A. Smith is just extremely annoying.

Agreed with the mis-usage of "exposed". One game discrediting his other 7 or 8 games?

Ok.
