Official Jeremy Lin Thread.

Now the comparisons to Tebow are apt. The backlash is intense and precipitated by the media coverage. I don't anyone ever said dude was a superstar, Screamin' A.

last time Jeremy Lin looked just as bad....so/jr yr of high school.

*warning* it will make you cringe. then again we've seen him play horrible in the NBA last season too.

I have no question that he'll learn from playing the heat. he'll work even harder in the next offseason.
Jeremy Lin may get scrimmage invite
Associated Press

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Jeremy Lin could earn an invitation to scrimmage against the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team this summer.

USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo mentioned the Knicks guard as a candidate for the select team of young players who will work against the Americans during their training camp in Las Vegas.

But he won't play for the Americans in London even if he continues his superb play since becoming an NBA starter. The U.S. already has a roster of 20 players, and Colangelo says, "Everyone has to pay their dues. No exceptions."

But the select team could strengthen his chances for another time. A number of players in this year's U.S. Olympic pool, including All-Stars Kevin Durant, LaMarcus Aldridge and Andre Iguodala, were previous select team members.

So he's just in love with isiah and not racist? Fine. Still hate him. Still a dope

The mavs did not play him soft. Far from it

A team that actually defends lol. U mean the best defensive team in the NBA? That is also aloud to grab, hack, and go over the back? A team where two point guards only role is to play hard nosed defense? It's much easier to use all you energy defending Lin when you have bron bosh and wade doing everything on offense. It isn't like playing the heat is just some normal defensive team.

He can't be that average is the best team in the league literally game planned for him.

He's a good player. Superstar talk is ******ed. But he's good and has potential too.

he'll be fine, it's still his first month of nba basketball. just played the best team in the league on a back-to-back in their house. his first real road test against a elite team that basically gameplan against him. really, there's probably only 5 teams in the league that play "great" defense. at least the kid made knicks basketball relevant again. that was his "detroit lions" game, lol

the heats point guards both scored more than the knicks guards that night

and you make it sound like they gave him the derrick rose treatment from the ECF last year

it was just mario chalmers, and norris cole (a rookie) guarding him

hes on a mario chalmers level, a raymond felton level

and the only defensive minded team they faced was mavs and utah... and sorta lakers i mean their pg position is atrocious, hell you could replace their pgs with a cutout and the crowd wouldnt notice.

The Heat have the best help defenders in the league in Wade, Bron and Anthony...and how many of those points came in transition off turnovers or were assisted by Wade and Bron? Lin got consumed by the moment, yea, but he was in the weeds with Fields who can't shoot or dribble next to him. Things'll be different when he can keep his head, have Shumpert next to him and find the right balance of Melo initiating the offense.
