How many renditions are they gonna do of black and white 12s? Between the masters, royalty’s, chinese new years, wings, reverse taxis etc… Way too many repetitive 12 colorways. They really can’t come up with anything else?? Just black/white/gold mashups year after year?

These are just unoriginal and uninspired. These XII coming out look like some swap meet concoction. They're basically the Master XII, but with copper gold tabs on the sides instead. They're going to end up looking bootleg.

Why are they calling these black taxis? Wouldn't that be the reverse taxis?

I'm maintaining my stance that they're unoriginal and uninspired because we get saturated with so many black-based retro Jordans.

These Black Taxi XII look identical to the Master XII with the only difference being cooper gold tabs and eyelets on these as I'm reiterating. No creativity or innovation with those so-called details, period. And I didn't even like the Master XII predicated on them being just another bland black-based pair of Jordans.

Bygone era black-based Jordans like the Black/Cement III & IV, Black/Metallic V, Black/Infrared VI, Charcoal VII (F the asinine Raptors nickname), Black/Red & Space Jam XI, Playoff & Black/Red XII, and the Playoff & Black/Red XIII will always endure time because they all had divergent colors on particular parts of those shoes that contrasted nicely making them stand out and identifiable predicated on design.

Who knows about the name for them? They always come up with corny or gimmicky names.

I wonder when they'll re-release these again since 2016 was the last time they were rehashed. I wish I got them now in retrospect. But I'm not really into the XII, so perhaps that's why I didn't focus on them that year.

Took a while to get around to painting, but I had to do a small custom like so many others who copped the Royalties. I did three coats with a 1:1 mixture of Flat Black and Angelus 2 Hard solution. Then 1 coat of matte finisher, extremely happy with how they turned out:
