Pulled out my Flu Games today and it reminded me of the Jordan Brand pop-up shop I went to in Salt Lake in June 2016 (anniversary of the Flu Game) for the shoes. Dug up a few photos I took, it was a pretty cool event. Free open bar, food and the Flu Game playing on a big screen, along with the Flu Games, Gym Red 12s and custom t-shirts available for purchase.

0-6 for 2020 AJ12 release and as much as i love the 12, i don't feel like i actually missed out, i've had chances to get each one for retail and passed bcuz it wan't that super cheap PX/AAFEES price but looking back meh, i go back and forth on completing this thing to the end or just getting rid of all 34ish pairs (i've long lost count), i think i might just be burnt out

Thats why ill never collect just to collect. Appreciate each pair onhand some more than others but never the less not a single regretful purchase.
Sure there may be shifting here or there of one pair or another but in general have never went out of the way to complete this or that models releases especially with all the hypebeast collab garbage that is put out.

i don't know i love every pair i have and there are pairs from last year that i missed that i def want. Eventually i know that i'll swing back and grab them but i'm just not bothered by it

Definitely swing back. I definitely relate.
My list keeps piling up, so I'm lowkey hoping no must-haves release so i can double back..

the sad part was at the time i had damn near a perfect collection, i think i was off by like 2 maybe 3 pairs

I finally found a pic of somebody that stripped away the top layer of indigo dye on these. As pictured it looks like it gets darker (like obsidians) when dye is removed. I know many wanted to know/see what the difference is.

I noticed Jordan brand been doing releases inspired by pe’s and the Super Bowls would be inspired by the Derrick Andersen pe’s

Not really, Warren Sapp wore Blk/Red 12 cleats... And played for the Bucs... As I said before, JB wasn’t going give us the mids for a SB shoe.. because that’s not the JB way

Derek Anderson pe’s were black red low tops, also warren had those also Eddie Jones had black red 12 pe
But with these being a low top that are closer to DA pe

I think it’s pretty safe to say JB was not planning a Super Bowl in Tampa/ XII release , and drew inspiration from a journeyman shooting guard from 20 years ago who played on 10 teams and avg’ed 12 pts a game. But hey, who knows?!

It’s not about the player it’s about the shoes he wore.
There were also a Jordan 9 low that released a few years ago and Derek Anderson wore a pe similar.
A lot of Jordan 9,12, and 13’s lately have been similar to older pe’s
