Closed out to hardaway in the corner, block, maybe 8 feet behind hardaway when the break started, beats him down court for the dunk over Luka. Great sequence.
There was also a great play where he just ripped the ball away from a mav that secured a rebound with both hands.

healthy kawhi is amazing to watch and even though he missed almost all his 3s tonight, his lone 3 was clutch and he actually showed emotion hitting it
he had a few posters tonight too so good to see those knees feeling well
gon suck if patbev misses a lot of games though, groin injury is a wildcard and could linger, hopefully its not too serious

Landry Shamet should be punched every time he fouls a guy shooting a 3. He does it waaaayyy to much.

Why is Mcgruder still on the team? Let alone getting important minutes.

atl pg was smokin macgruder the whole second half and doc aint do sh*t about it, just kept leavin him behind
game would have been a forgivable giveaway since no kawhi, pg, bev, etc... despite trey not playin for the hawks but they were up by 21
you need rebounds but since doc insists zu cant play the fourth, he never sees another minute, he’d rather have pat out there, would been a good chance to play trezz and zu together

Just can't do this game. Players 3-12 and coaching really have to check themselves.
The verbalized dysfunction with this team has undertones in injury and load management complaints. The Clippers should beat the Hawks w/o trae easily even without kawhi and pg.
Losses like this one can't happen.

Without looking at the boxscore, we must have missed close to 8 Free Throws in the 4th
trez missed like 5 out of 6 by himself.The Hawks were hacking the hell out of us and we weren’t making them pay

We missed 14 total FTs. At least 6 in the 4th quarter. Trezz was bricking all his, both I believe Lou and Shamet also missed FTs late. That alone cost is the game.
Can’t blame Doc for the missed FTs, BUT I can put some blame on him for the fact we’ve lost multiple games this year due to a combination of sloppy, indecisive late game offense and infatuate rim protection and rebounding on defense. Without the Kawhi safety blanket, we’ve actually been pretty trash in close games.

its also the small things like letting trezz shoot those last second 3s at the end of quarters, its cute and all but let someone who has a better chance of making it shoot them

why waste that last shot/heave on someone who is just desperate to make a 3 to pad his stat?
hawks center also got 16 rebounds, the team themselves got 23off and outrebounded the clips 63 to 45 but doc still insists on not putting zubac and it was evident when on that last hawks free throw that they missed but got the ball back, why not put zubac in there with trezz for the rebound? its mind-bottling most of docs decision
i know yall tired of me hatin' on doc but it is what it is, i honestly do not think dude is that great
that is why i dont even think doc is looking to add another big because he'll just quarantine them on the 4th in favor of trezz anyways and probably just cut even more of zubacs minutes

McGruder is garbage man. And I try not to say that about athletes. But he provides nothing. Walton JR should be taking all his minutes. Hell, I’d rather have Rome out there and he’s also dog****.

JJ Headdick is gonna eventually yam on someone. Saw him put a lot of work on his handles this summer. If he can continue that trajectory he’ll be very tough to guard. 3 ball, athletic, handles...

For as long as Doc has been coach, we’ve encouraged teams to take 3’s against us. When teams have bad shooting nights it’s not because of our defense. They just have off nights shooting. i think this is the only team who i see get a "pass" for having a long break
if this is going to be the case all the time and its been happening, then practice them more and keep them warmed up, its just not an excuse when people are needing load managements in the team
i give them a pass for grieving and i really, really hate to harp on doc at this time and all but i will anyways
the kings was on a 15-0 run (and and even when they go it to single digits and kings went on another 11-0 run) doc did absolutely nothing, no timeouts, no roster change, nothing!
he let the lead balloon up and just gave the kings all the confidence in the world
doc was content with the clips trading baskets while down 15-18 points and i get it, their record is good after being down by double digits in the season but that is not a mentality the team should go once in the playoffs

This is the type of team I envisioned. We just keep coming at you. Makes me frustrated to to think we would have ~8 more wins if we’d been healthy all year

I want to see some pretty significant improvement on defense. No reason with the personnel we have that we shouldn’t have a top 5 defense in the league, even with playing at a fast pace.

Brien Seiman doesn’t know the date. He kept saying “this month” all game as it it was still January and then said this was just PG’s second game in “January”
