Eh, I'm not mad at anyone getting a 2nd chance if they get their $%#@ together.

I know this is Niketalk, but I can never tell how many dudes on here are really heavy into kicks. With that said, it looked like Jesse was wearing some Jordan1's on TUF (or the Dunk in the very similar colorway) and it looked like he was wearing Goldenrod Dunks when he wig'd out in Vegas.

Coleman vs. Shogun II would be a TOTALLY different fight from their first encounter. It'll be a Shogun mauling from the outset. Coleman is a shell of hisformer self.

MATH WHIZ'S I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

so i like to put a few bucks on the fights all the time. This time around I noticed there were some HUGE discrepencies in the betting lines between thedifferent books. I have accts at several online books that take action on MMA. This is the fight that I found.

Cale Yarborough v. Tim Credeur fight.

On sportsbook.com Cale is at +375
On betonfighting.com Tim is at -370

So lets say I put $100 on Cale to win and $370 on Tim to win.

If Cale wins, I win $375 on that bet and lose $370 on the other bet. Net gain $5
If Tim wins, I win $100 on the BOF bet and lose $100 on the sportsbook bet. Net gain 0

So basically it is a risk free bet if I hedge against each other on the 2 books. This is where I need you math whiz's to help.

How can I bet so that instead of 5 and 0 I win like $2 each way?

I think I answered my own question. For those of you NTers with access to a bottomless pit of capital, here is the math.

Bet $370 on Tim to win at -370
Bet $99 on Cale to win at +375

If Tim wins you net out $1 (won $100, loss $99)
If Cale wins you net out $1.25 (won $371.25, loss $370)

So basically its like a free 2/10 % spread. For every $469 you put up youre guaranteed back either $470 or $470.25 depending on who wins.

I know there is a calculus equation for true maximization but my brain hurts too much to figure it out.

Anyone who has access to $479,000 of capital can make $1000 or $1250 guaranteed. (not taking into consideration TVM)

i dont know why people say coleman destroyed shogun. he freakin fell on his arm and broke it.

that was a fluke win and yes shogun would whoop coleman in a rematch.

Coleman is way too old now and inactive for too long I don't want to see him in that Ken Shamrock mode where he's 40 just taking beatings left andright.

Quick updated news:
Sorry I have to break the bad news to you Demonbasketball04, your boy "KID" fight has been cancelled for DREAM 5 due to a knee injury, and Mark HuntVs. Alistair Overeem has been added to the DREAM 5 card. Floyd Mayweather tops MMA's only participant Georges "Rush" St. Pierre in the ESPN ESPY"Best fighter " voting category. Yushin Okami Vs. Anderson Silva might be cancelled due to a injured brokened hand of Okami. Tyson Griffin Vs. SeanSeark in the works for UFC 89; I got to say this is a great match-up. UFC 90 will be head to Chicago and It's possible that a local fighter Matt Hughes maybot be in the card.

Anyone have a guess as to who will be participating in the UFC 90 event in Chicago?

I'm really excited to finally catch an event in person, and I am hoping it won't be a weak card. The obvious (Hughes, since he's from IL) isalready out b/c of a knee injury. Arlovski (Chicago) is with Affliction.

^It's possible that the Thiago Alves - Diego Sanchez fight will be moved to the Chicago card, since it's no longer gonna be on the ufc 89 card.

looks like irvin was able to make weight after missing it at first, cant wait to see spider's stare down pic, dude always sets the tone for saturday withhis staredowns

with all that talent, I hope the LHW division opens up his eyes to straighten up everything. the flashes of tim pounding vera (nh) to a win still haunts me
