Official N.Y. Yankees 2009 SEASON THREAD (103-59) WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

Thankfully the powers that be, the ones more intelligent then people like you.... IN the Yankees organization.... agree with ME

You're a tool though.

So those same intelligent ones that tried to get Joba to start.....DURING THE REGULAR SEASON when he started off the year in the pen, are far more intelligentthan I am.

Good one clown, its a simple DEBATE, something you're incapable of doing based on your flip flopping in the political threads.

# of wins we can secure with a Joba/Rivera combination >>> # of wins Joba can win or give us the win
Pretty much.
Nope.

I disagree with both points.

You're such a pretentious douche.

Move Joba to the pen, put Hughes back in the 5th spot and let him develop. It really doesn't matter who your starters are when your bullpen can't holdonto a lead. Word to the 2008 Mets.

Why? Because I'm right?

I'm pretty sure people that do baseball for their lives know more then people in this thread.

Plus....

Yea maybe I'd believe you if Billy Beane was running the Yankees, but yea the Steinbrenners

Besides a few years down the road when Mo is retired who's going to close out games for you? You really think the Yankees are gonna find somebody asdominate as Joba to pitch the 9th?

Oh yeah and since we're so dumb, the Red Sox must have been dumb for keeping Papelbon in the bullpen right?
Yankees Outfield Options
By Ben Nicholson-Smith [April 18 at 9:37am CST]

According to George A. King III of the New York Post Austin Kearns or Jason Repko could become options for the Yankees if they decide to look outside the organization for outfield depth. Now that Xavier Nady could be out for a while the Yankees have moved Nick Swisher into right, but their bench isn't as deep as before.

King writes that the Dodgers "might be willing to trade" Repko and the Nationals "are said to be entertaining offers" for Kearns.

This King update is from a couple days ago. As MLB.com's Anthony DiComo writes we don't know much more about Nady's health now than we did Thursday. I'd expect the Yankees to get a full report on Nady before dealing for additional depth.

Anthony Claggett, who probably just got to the ballpark, is warming up in the pen now.

"We want Swisher" chants are starting already...
