Harden has been inefficient the last two months. The numbers prove that. No matter how you slice it 5/18, 6/24 7/21 that's extremely inefficient and is the stuff of volume scorers in the league.

He needs a lot of shots to score.

So where does cp3 go after they get eliminated?

at the same time they can also be misleading
very true...i remember earlier in this thread when someone was saying players of yester year. in particular...were more efficient..better shooters/passers etc...more fundamental, until i showed stats that said otherwise. Like for example larry bird... he only had one season in which he shot over 40% for 3's and had i believe a 36% avg for a career... which was a league best at the time. However that wouldnt even be a top 10-15 hell maybe even top 20 shooting in todays game. Hell kobe and lebron, carmello etc... shoot better then that. But if you just went off stats and randomly stated to someone oh well kobe/lebron/melo/nash etc.... are more efficient/better shooters then bird you would get lol at.

Numbers do play a part, but the arent the be all to end all. It is far to many factors/variables that go in to just see stats and say player a>player b.

That's so very false, no matter how you slice it, the numbers prove otherwise. James Harden scored 26 points on 17 shots. He does not need a lot of shots to score.

Yea idk how if you been watching Harden the whole year that you could call him ineffecient

I hate the whole "Stats nerd" thing. How can you try and dismiss the stats. Theyre cold hard facts and are on equal footing with the eye test and in some cases more important because the stats are impartial

Though I think this is true, I believe actually watching the games and seeing how things develop is far better than skimming a box score and attempting to draw conclusions. Not saying JD6 does that, but a lot of people do, and that just makes for pages on pages of treadmill arguments.

Only thing I like about McHale are his interviews and commentary
I've always said that Mchale and Matt Millen are the same.... great at their TV jobs, but god awful at real jobs

I hate how good of a comparison this is :lol

He has been efficient for the most part, but he also has had his fair share of REALLY awful games (this month especially , with the exception of the Portland gm). He's averaging almost 6 TO's this month with a doo doo shooting percentage. Not a knock on his game at all, I pin that on the Rockets coaching staff, they rely n force feed him too much. When he isn't getting to the line and when calls aren't going his way, he looks a lil above average...

Like I said, Rocket's offense is at it's best and thrives on ball movement. If last night's game with the Lakers was any indication of how the Rocket's are going to close out games, then the Rockets won't get anywhere... I can't remember what our record was in games decided under 5 pts or less, but a month back it was 9-17. That's on McHale n the coaching staff failing to execute properly.

I know man, I know. I don't watch any games. This is the default response for simpletons, right up there with telling someone who runs a blog that he still lives in his mother's basement. What else you got? Let me guess, I've never played basketball either. I've never played team sports in general actually. Every night when I go home I open up a few Excel spreadsheets, grab some lotion, and masturbate furiously. At least come up with something creative.

I failed to mention it for two reasons, one because we were specifically talking about scoring and two because he actually averaged 3 TOs a game in March.

u sound butthurt. About his TO's, I meant to say April, not March. U had to go out of your way to look up his stats just to prove me wrong :lol.

CP3/Harden backcourt :smokin :hat

Of course if you can get cp3, you have to.. But I don't think he would be the perfect match for him..

Curry would be the ideal match, granted they wouldn't be able to guard anyone.. But I think he needs a PG who can shoot 40+% from 3 and doesn't need the ball in his hands to effective

made up rumor, if it was even close to true or a legit rumor then i think it would be on the Celtic boards. I checked and didnt see anything or a hint of it

:{

He's 10th in shots per game, yet 5th in scoring. 26 points on 17 shots per game is 1.5 points per shot, greater than Kobe's career average & equivalent to Lebron's this year.

You're completely ignoring what he does from downtown & the free throw line.

I don't know why yall keep responding to this dude. He does not know what he is talking about. He is trying to use a selectively small sample to suit his agenda and clearly has not been watching harden this whole season or in denial :{

He is responding with the same false accusation over n over...annoying! :rolleyes
