Rapper Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, made it official on his website LifeandTimes.com Friday -- he's selling his stake in the Nets.

Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions. It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I'm a Brooklyn Net forever. It's been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class. My sincerest thanks goes to Bruce Ratner, who first introduced the idea of moving the Nets to Brooklyn. A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team.
The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Our newest endeavor is committed to building the brands of professional athletes as we have done for some of today's top music artists. For Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential, NBA rules stipulate that I relinquish my ownership in the Brooklyn Nets. It was a tough decision but as I stated earlier, it's not about ownership. Congratulations to The Nets on a great season and making the playoffs! I will always be a Brooklyn Net.

Denver has way too much firepower for the Warriors to keep up imo. I have the Nuggets in the finals so i may be a little bias here lol

:lol you serious?

Golden State has better shooting and can put up as many points as anybody, Denver's defense is better but you see how they play on the road, series is my candidate for 7.

Bob Costas and Hannah Storm. The two most memorable voices I associate with basketball and my childhood. #NBAonNBC

ESPN 2: @HannahStormESPN Interviews 5 of the top PG's in the NBA. 7-8 PM. Good stuff. Reminds me of Inside Stuff and Prudential At the Half

Warriors/Nuggets is not going 5. Both teams are good at home. I could see this going 7

By no means am I saying Warriors are gonna take this with ease, but you know Gallo and Faried are out right?

Lawson, Iggy, Chandler, McGee, Miller, Corey Brewer.

I don't see how the Warriors can't match up to them. It'll be a fight.

Warriors go as far as Curry takes them, put Iggy on Curry, problem solved. Denver too long and athletic. Faried will come back eventually in the 1st round. Sorry I really dont see this going 7. Denver in 5.

Probably will go 7. These are 2 fools gold teams and neither would get out of the 1st round had they been facing any other team.
I can understand Warriors being fools' gold, but Denver? They're solid.
They fools gold to me but they're most likely going to win and get to the 2nd round. In that series it's about defense not firepower and DEN is a more solid defensive team.

Probably be the only time GK will out coach somebody in these playoffs.

I been saying this all season about both. I was wishing these two didn't meet in the 1st but oh well.
