Yall need to realize.... the Maloofs weren't ever going to move the Kings to VA Beach
laugh.gif

they were using that as a negotiation tool on Seattle while the team 'wasn't for sale' and were dealing in the dark.

Literally, the day after VA Beach denounced the Maloofs, the sale to Seattle was leaked.... coincidence? I think not.

Which is why I said its unlikely for a team to go there, but it'd be a good place, IMO. dude in here talking about a team in friggin Columbus, Ohio :rollin... Like seriously...COLUMBUS, OHIO lmao.

Let's be real here.

Even without injuries...the Heat were going to steamroll their way to the NBA Finals.

I hate to admit it but Lebron is just in GOD mode. He's not losing to anyone this year.

VA Beach isn't the damn "DMV" :lol. Learn your geography first. DMV = DC/MD(pg & mont counties)/Northern VA

VA Beach is over 3 HOURS AWAY. Like I said, PHILLY is closer to DC than VA Beach, pick up a map homie.

David Stern can't hear you fam..

What about the Sprint Center in Kansas city, it's NBA ready, but their economy is bad
Yup, which is why KC will probably always be in the running for an NBA team

if we are going by economy, it pains me to say this, but move the Pistons
ohwell.gif

And live a happy life fam. Sorry if you were expecting the stereotypical 'my life sucks in Ohio" response.
:lol cats coming at me because I used Columbus Ohio as an example of why VA isn't getting a team.

I NEVER EVEN SAID COLUMBUS SHOULD GET A TEAM lol and these dudes are coming at my neck.

Columbus is a great city, it's coming along quite nicely, don't know why the hate for it from some. Absolutely enjoyed my time in Columbus and the sports scene was great outside of college. :smokin

I don't think there's a consensus on which cities should get teams. :lol

:hat

but we'll let those who've never been to Ohio speak on it, :rolleyes :{

Pistons aint getting moved...

ever

no reason to now or ever

haters gon hate
In about 10-15 years, if they don't get a new arena that is actually in Detroit...... I think that might be reason enough to move them.

Man, listen: every NBA team that's in a small market right now is facing risk of losing their team. That's just how this business is.

If these markets cannot come up with a plan to develop a new arena in the allowed time needed (whether it be 5,10, 15 years) an option to move the team to a city that does have an arena ready will always be looked at.

That's the reality of teams playing in Cleveland, Detroit, Orlando, Phoenix, Golden State, Sacramento, etc.

I'm so thankful that Dan Gilbert is going all-in on Cleveland, he's renovated our arena and it's top-notch still. And he's putting a state-of-the-art scoreboard up soon :smokin

Strange I always thought of Phoenix as a large city. Maybe they don't have that "Basketball Schedule"

If the Pistons have another 3-4 years of the level of attendance they currently have its time to look around.

I'm getting old because I remember when the Palace was new.

It is a large city, quite large actually. But their attendance hasn't improved over the years - and if they face a dilemma where the team is for sale and they lose out on big players (i.e. Milwaukee's situation) and their having arena issues; they could be moved too.

No team is safe in the NBA, except LA, NY Chi and Houston..

That is why I love the MLB's policy on changing markets/cities....you practically can't anymore. That's a beautiful thing.

No way the Pistons ever get moved.

They have a pretty good history in the league. They're one of those "classic" teams.
