When the 2 Philly white dudes sold it to USA Sporting Goods or whatever that company is called, it was the end. They wanted to come out of the performance market and focus only on the ~$30-40 dollar range shoes and make their clothes cheaper so now they're made in the same factories with the same material as Starter, and thus the same low pricepoint and quality compared to what was.

I was a wear tester during that era of transition too, the Monta ME8s were like the last expensive shoe they made, totally sucked *** too but they sent me 2 free pair
