I have no dog in this Rudy Gay argument but not a single soul has replied to the numbers posted which are almost exactly the same.

Even if that rumor isn't true about Chris Paul wanting a black coach. The Clippers will sign a black coach just in case anyways, they're not taking an chances on losing him.

Kind of a douche move by Chris Paul if it is true tho, lol.

Torn labrum or not, melo kept shooting. If you're THAT injured, defer the rock to others.

Defer to who exactly? Did you watch the series? There is no Chris Bosh or Dwayne Wade suiting up for the Knicks.

nah you're right. he should've continued to isolate and chuck jumpshots >D

And hitting a game winning shot lay-up in the conference finals with 2 seconds left isn't as clutch as you lebron stans try to make it seem.

nice edit :|

he made the play didn't he? what more do you want from him? would you have preferred him step back and shoot a jumper to try and win it?

:lol @ the notion of "he wasn't far enough away from the basket for it to be considered "clutch""

How many times did Shump get the ball in the 4th quarter of game 6? He was the hot hand.

If Melo is ailing that badly, Woodson needed to make adjustments and Melo maybe could have done a better job of getting others involved.

Playing through an injury is admirable...hurting your team while doing so is selfish. Those 4th quarters speak for themselves.

Knicks ball movement is one of the reasons why they were good during the season. Now we talking about pass to who

Also, in response to Jim Boehiem's comments about Melo needing more help....where was all of this talk when they were wrapping up the #2 seed in the East? This team was built for the ECF, right?

So who should he have deferred to?

Shumpert? LOL. Melo at 20% percent is a better option on offense than Shumpert at 100%. That's a fact. There was no one for him to defer to. JR Smith went MIA.

I agree. What can black coach do differently than a white coach? I haz confuse :{

i don't even think it true, just some BS from New Yorker mad he isn't playing for them

my bad. wasn't aware the knicks got the 2 seed on carmelo's efforts alone. yall right. he shouldn't pass. his score a lot shoot a lot system works really well

Even if the #'s are similar, their roles are different. Did Rudy Gay ever impact a game by way of offense and defense (for his team) the way the George does? I honestly don't think so.

Also, the fact that you can make a case that Memphis is better w/o Gay speaks volumes.

Take George off of the Pacers, they are no where nearly as dynamic.

Paul George could end up being one of the 3 best (if he isn't there already) players in the EC. Rudy Gay, while a good player, does not have the same impact as Paul George.

Just my .02

Dude, I wouldn't even call myself a LeBron fan, let alone a "Stan," but as a fan of basketball in general, I can say the idea that wasn't a clutch play is just silly. Especially since the people making that claim would be saying something completely different if their favorite player did the same thing.

You're dancing around the question. PASS TO WHO? Who else was making shots consistently every game for the Knicks besides him. The problem is you cats think regular season basketball is the same as post season basketball. That system doesn't work in the playoffs when your playing good teams every night.

In game 6? Shumpert was every bit as much of a reason as to why the Knicks were in the game as Melo. I know Melo had his 39, but Shumpert came up HUGE when it mattered. Then hardly saw the ball for whatever the reason in the 4th quarter. I guess it's a combination of Woodson's coaching and Melo's torn labrum that accounted for that tho.

Then why wasn't there ANY talk about the lack of scoring options when yall locked up the 2 seed in the east? I'll wait.....

Seems like we're not the only ones on here who have a hard time distinguishing the difference between regular season basketball and post season.

I'd agree with you if there was someone else to defer the rock too...The Knicks were built around his scoring, JR was ice cold this post-season. Cope didn't get enough burn and Shump played well but isn't a consistent offensive weapon yet and is still getting to form after the ACL injury. So that point kind of fall's short.

That's one game though. Who was consistently helping Melo score in the other 5 games?

Those guys were making shots back then though...Chandler was finishing lobs and Kidd was shooting 40 percent from three during that period. By the playoffs when those guys were on the court we were playing 3 vs. 5 on offense.

Game 6 he actually made some really good passes just no one hit off any of them. And your blaming him for game 6, really? He played awesome, that game you cannot even begin to put on him.
