Great stat line, but that performance isn’t gonna get them passed GS. He’s definitely got some help this year, but they can’t carry him in the clutch in every game of a 7 game series- they are role players for a reason.
 i can cherry pick any stat line he has against a great team and use the same exact logic. some of y'all expect him to be god-like EVERY game and when he's not, it's just ammo to fuel your petty agenda. give the celtics some damn credit. they have the best coach in the league and had a great game plan on cp3 and harden which forced them to play worse than they usually do.

who says they need to carry him in the clutch every game? stop forcing my guy. role players can win you a game or two in a 7 game series - it's not unheard of. Harden has closed out plenty of teams this year, and so has CP3. Hell they even did it to GS. while y'all worry about getting your hot takes off about a certain player, i care more about the actual TEAM result. this was a positive for me, our team is clearly more mentally tough than years past BECAUSE of those same role players. it's good to have a close game every once in a while to see how we respond.

I actually agree with some of your main points from a general team oriented perspective, but when it comes to Harden, I can’t let him slide til he proves himself when it matters. In fact, as much as I love CP3, he hasn’t done **** in the playoffs either.

he was bad and fatigued in the 2nd half, but was the reason why we weren't down by more in the 1st half. stevens did a great job on him by having dudes like smart, rozier get physical on him (give them some credit). but now we have pieces to help him out, unlike last year, as you just witnessed. but sure, get those takes off. if a +21 in 38 minutes while dropping 25-8-10-4-1 on 18 shots is THAT bad, then damn, i hope y'all's favorite players are just as bad

Paul and Harden were off tonight, Celtics bench were killing them while hitting those miraculous shots similar to the Clippers in game 6 before the collapse, and Joe Johnson logged a bunch of insignificant minutes that Green should get due to MDA feeling nostalgic...and still managed to win. I’ll take it
