You just love Bron man . Only explanation. Nothing in this post makes sense

How does this not make sense? You guys keep claiming Lebron is gunna ruin the development of our young players. Who's development is he gunna ruin besides maybe BI? All these other guys are who they're gunna be. They'll grow at the pace they're gunna grow at, Bron or no Lebron.

None of them are making the leap into top 10 status except maybe BI

So what are we thinking is going to happen if LBJ heads to philly? I get the whole, terrible fit thing but do people really think that that team won't be the best team in the east barring injury?

I think they win the East. Lebron is too good to not make it work and he already made it work with some non-shooters when he was with Miami. I'm more interested to see how he plays with a traditional big man since he has never played with a Center who can protect the rim and can play down low all game long.

I think he transitions himself to playing more off the ball in the post and lets Ben handle the ball a significant amount.

He is too damn good for it not to work with that much talent.

Ingram made significant improvements since his rookie year....

I still think if Houston can create the cap space, Lebron will go there

Lol. Dude has a track record of diminishing vets yet you don't think he'll do it to young guys who aren't even his peers and looked up/look up to dude.

To be fair, the concerns with LBJ coming in and hijacking the Laker franchise for two, three years then retiring are legit. David Griffin told me verbatim how hard it was to be a GM with LBJ on the team. ESPECIALLY since they still won't be better than the warriors or maybe even the rockets.

That being said, ultimately it all boils down to how good you think Lonzo/Kuzma/Hart/BI etc. can be. They're young as hell so who really knows, but to me they aren't good enough to say no to LBJ in favor of seeing them grow.

Right. I agree with you. There's just too much talent for it not to work. I haven't even thought about HOW it would actually work, but that's just too much talent to bet against.

Similar to Houston getting Chris Paul, you get the superstar & figure out the rest later.

You be name dropping more than the Game woe.

But on the topic. 2 years at most of Bron isn't worth 6-8 years of those guys.

I mean we talking about the cavs and lbj chasing chips idk bruh :lol

But I guess the question you have to ask is when the Warriors reign ends, will this core be at a point where they'll be able to contend for a title? NBA is going to look totally different when BI Lonzo Kuzma etc. are off their rookie deals and what not but if you don't think those guys will ever amount to being like multiple time all stars and ****, then I wouldn't mind LBJ + PG + others coming over and chasing a chip now.

But if you do think like Kuzma and Zo and really BI (because LBJ coming would directly impact him the most I think) can be that good, then I wouldn't even consider Lebron.

Better question is what young player actually has actually developed playing with Bron? Kyrie was already at 22.5ppg before Bron so let me stop you there. You say ruin Ingram's development like it aint no thang and in the same breath say he has top 10 talent :lol. Kuz has more room to grow, Dame and plenty other 4 year guys continued to improve after their rookie year. Bron would marginalize the squad like he always does. Hart is the only guy who's really compatible with him

I'm thinking Bron has 2 years at most at this level. Him + PG ain't winning a title in that time. If he gets in Magic's head and forces him to trade everybody for Kawhi then maybe it could be worth it cause after Bron is done you still have PG & Kawhi but no supplementary parts to go around them going forward.

As for looking at the landscape of the West. I think the Lakers are primed to be at the top of the conference due to the talent now and what they could do this and next summer specifically.

I agree with this sentiment of gutting a team or trading your young players, I wouldn’t do it

But if you can get Lebby and keep most of your young assets then I can’t be mad

Lebby needs to be done playing gm now that he’s getting older

I don’t think he’d have that control in Houston and maybe not even in philly

We can keep all our assets (sans Juju) and sign Bron and PG. The issue is Bron's track record and what one would assume compete for chips which would facilitate them moving the young pieces to get another star now.

You wanna see Bron average 23/6/6 in /30mpg?

Or chase them milestones somewhere else?

This is also I think an underrated factor. Dude definitely wants to go to a squad where he can chase those stats. Even though the GOAT convo is and has been over. Putting up cumulative numbers that will never be matched would give him an extra brownie point for some. Too much talent and he doesn't get to Kareem's scoring record so that's where a young team like Philly or LA who would defer to him would also have an advantage. I think Harden enjoys being the show with how hard he's gone after MVP the last 2 seasons.
