They need to dangle Bledsoe and his expiring deal, he didn’t workout with Giannis and there’s no time to try it again

Plus even if Bledsoe shows out now you’re stuck with deciding to offer him a bag the next summer, I wouldn’t keep him even if he had a good season

He’s a better fit somewhere else

I dont see a future here with Bledsoe either. But I also dont know if he has much value.

kevin love is still "only" 29. his gm isnt based off athleticism, should still have a handful of solid years at a high level

I want to get some objective NBA opinions here. Hypothetically, let's see the Lakers acquire LeBron Paul George and are able to keep Julius Randle and they go into next season with a roster looking something like this:

Zo/Bron/ingram/free agent
PG/Hart
Bron/Ingram
Randle/Kuzma
#25 pick/Randle

Is this team a title contender? Second-round fodder for the Rockets/Warriors?

2nd round exit imo....
Don’t see them beating Houston or GSW.
Not enough shooting on that team.

They could beat Houston
Not sure about GS

I don’t expect Houston to be as good
next season.

Ceiling as a contender, floor as just beneath those teams. Depends a lot on how Lonzo and Ingram professs this offseason but Lebron obviously gets you very far.

Call me a homer (I probably am) but I see the Lakers young guys taking a big step this offseason. I also think that Ingram and kuzma coming off the bench will allow them to feast on second units.

Would you guys recommend the Lakers trade some of their young guys to get a third Superstar or do you think they should roll with just LeBron and Paul George if they get them?

Houston won’t look the same next season
They gon be paying a 35 year old a CP
$40M with no young assets

Houston is in an interesting spot. Harden already has a super max contract ($40m per season) and CP3 is going to request a max contract ($35m per season). That's $75m tied up in two players before they even get to Capella's extension.
