Lol, Embiid is the biggest troll. He posted a tweet cheering for the Astros in a Dogers Jersey, then he posts this...

Bball guru willchamb

Bout to get blew out? Is your boy Emmit Smith?

27, 28, 29 from steph kd and klay and they lose to detroit. dray needs to score more, especially since he top 15. :nerd:
Dog Dray been putting up like 6/3/3/4 lines and playing like 26mpg

Steve Kerr still tinkering?
Man no excuses, Steve Lerr rotations need to stop.
 at Dray having games where he plays 26minutes

People want to debate Embiid vs Kat.
Come up with all these reasons why it's KAT, or why is EMBIID.
It's real simple.
Save the "Embiid only played 14games" yadayada
Save the "KAT so efficient he put up 30" yadayada

Just stop.
It's simple.

Embiid > KAT

SEE, simple.
The end.

Catching back up on the thread, The cavs won't play defense until LeBron does. Crowder was a good pick up but the roster is still void of great tough defenders for him to rely on so he'll have to do that dirty work himself. Defensively he doesn't have a pippen & grant/rodman, Artest, or Draymond to lead the team on that end. He has to take on that challenge himself.

Not sure if it's conditioning or what, but he hasn't really cared about defense since leaving Miami.

On another note, the best ability is availability. I don't really care to rank Embiid until he can play at least 70 games.

Last note, Draymond has been a trainwreck on both ends of the floor this year. He couldn't shoot last yr either so that probably won't change but he's been terrible as a facilitator and on defense thus far. On par with Jokic defensively.

Biggest reason they're basically .500 right now. What actually made GSW different from every other great offensive team in the league, is that they played ELITE defense. True 2-way team

But 7 games  you gotta expect Dray to turn it around defensively if nothing else. Odd start to the year nonetheless

I think turnovers have more to do with GSW's slow start than Draymond's ineptness. Even with Dray being horrific on offense this season, they still have the best offense in league history through 7 games, even better than last year.

But Draymond is definitely a player to watch. If he regresses even more on offense than he did last year, with bad defense to boot, that to me is a HUGE development that makes them beatable.

Isn't Tristan supposed to be this guy, at least in part?

Idk why more teams don't just literally force and funnel offense through Draymond and don't help. You can kind of treat him like Roberson.

There was a play last night against Detroit late in the 4th where Draymond had the ball in the post against a guard and no one helped and he looked horrific.

Because even though he's struggling right now, he's not nearly that bad of an offensive player. You can't compare him to Roberson at all.

He's obviously a better offensive player than roberson. To use what I said as a direct comparison of the two is missing the point.

Draymond clearly struggles getting his own as an offensive player. The defense, whatever team that might be, would be best served in my eyes forcing Draymond to actually score, much like teams do when roberson is on the floor. Isn't a direct comparison, but rather a point to how to best defend GSW.

So much of their action in the halfcourt goes through Draymond. The split cutting, the triangle action, all of it starts with him having the ball. Forcing him to actually do something instead of waiting for a player to get open has immense benefits.
